After 34 years, we are closing the doors of Vic Market Tattoo. Our last day is 15th February, 2026.
As one of Melbourne’s oldest tattoo shops, this decision does not come lightly. We’ve had the privilege of meeting and working alongside some of the best artists from Australia and overseas. We have always strived to be a professional, creative and inspiring shop, with no bu****it - just somewhere you could get a great tattoo, no matter who you were or what you wanted. We would like to think we achieved this.
We would like to thank all the resident and guest artists who have contributed and been such a massive part of VMT over the years, as well as the staff who helped create this warm and welcoming space. To each of our customers, clients, and everyone who came through our doors and made every single day memorable, thank you! We couldn’t come to work and do what we love every day without you. To all the surrounding North Melbourne businesses who have made our lunch, brought us coffee, poured our beers, and more, we appreciate you.
While we are sad to say goodbye, it’s truly something special to have witnessed VMT’s legacy and place in Melbourne’s tattoo history.
