When did it become so controversial to suggest that real health isn't found in a pill or a quick fix?

Or to believe that your health is ultimately your responsibility?

Pharmaceutical companies are businesses. Their business model relies on selling pharmaceutical products.

That doesn't automatically make the products ALL innately bad (...... 🙃)

But it should remind us that we don't need to outsource every part of our health to an industry whose primary role is to manufacture and sell medicines with endless side effects that require more medicines...

There is an enormous amount we can do before we reach the point of needing an intervention.

What we eat.
How we move.
How we sleep.
How we manage stress.
What we bring into our homes.
The products we put on our bodies.
The way we support our nervous systems.
The habits our children watch us model.
The questions we ask.
The information we seek.
The preventative choices we make every single day.

For our family, natural health has never meant rejecting modern medicine outright.

It has meant having more tools in the toolbox.

Knowing how to support our bodies every day instead of only thinking about our health once something goes wrong.

Learning about nutrition.

Learning about plants.

Learning about our bodies.

Building a natural first-aid cabinet.

And becoming confident enough to ask questions, seek appropriate professional advice and make informed decisions rather than blindly handing responsibility for our wellbeing to somebody else.

Because no company - pharmaceutical, supplement, food, wellness or otherwise - should care more about your family's health than you do.

Take responsibility.

Stay curious.

Ask better questions.

Learn how your body works.

And never underestimate the power of the small, preventative choices you make at home every single day.

Your health deserves your participation. 🌿

Once a month, on the same day, we gather.

Not because we have all the answers.

But because we believe there is something incredibly powerful about bringing people together who are willing to share what they have learned, what they have experienced, and what has genuinely helped them along the way.

For more than a decade, we have walked this path.

We have studied.
We have questioned.
We have experimented.
We have learned from practitioners.
We have learned from experts.
We have learned from our families.
We have learned from our community.
And, sometimes, we have learned the hardest lessons through our own experiences.

And every month, we get to bring a little of that wisdom into one room.

Different people.
Different stories.
Different modalities.
Different perspectives.

But one common desire…

To live well.
To feel well.
To understand our bodies.
To support our families.
To have more tools in our hands and more knowledge in our minds.

There is something beautiful about shared wisdom.

One person shares something that changed their life.
Another offers a technique that has helped their family for years.
Someone else introduces a modality they have never heard of.
A conversation begins.
Questions are asked.
Knowledge is exchanged.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, healing happens.

Sometimes healing looks like learning something new.

Sometimes it looks like finally feeling heard.

Sometimes it is simply sitting in a room surrounded by people who understand that there is more than one way to support our wellbeing.

This is why we gather.

Not to tell people what to think.

Not to claim there is one answer.

But to create a space where knowledge can be shared, experiences can be honoured, and people can walk away with more tools than they arrived with.

Our monthly gathering has become something we genuinely look forward to.

Because community changes everything.

Shared knowledge becomes collective wisdom.

And when we come together, we all leave a little richer for it.

This is what our community means to us.

I feel incredibly lucky
to have been given a father
who became more than a father,
he became my friend,
my safe place,
my strength.

And then life gave me a husband
who has surpassed every expectation
I ever had of a man,
a husband,
and a father.

Two incredible men,
loving in different ways,
but leading by the same example.

And the greatest gift of all
is watching our three boys
grow up surrounded by it.

Learning that strength can be gentle.
That integrity is lived, not spoken.
That love is shown in the way you stand beside your family,
the way you keep your word,
the way you show up,
even when no one is watching.

Two men showing three boys
what it truly means
to become the measure
of a good man in this world.

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing men, dads, grandads, husbands, partners, brothers and father figures in our community. 🤎

Today we celebrate the men who show up, provide, protect, teach, encourage, love and lead their families in so many different ways.

And a special thank you to all of the men in this community who are choosing to take care of their health, who support their wives and families on their journey to live well, and who are recognising that looking after yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give the people you love.

Because healthy families start with healthy choices… and those choices are so much easier when we have people beside us who support them. 🌿

Today we also remember the fathers and grandfathers who are no longer here with us.

The men whose wisdom, stories, laughter, lessons and love continue to live on through the generations they helped shape. Their presence may be missed, but their legacy lives on in the families they left behind. 🤍

To every dad, grandad and father figure - here, and watching over us from above - thank you for being part of this community.

We’re so grateful to have you here, supporting your families, investing in your health and helping create a healthier, more wholesome future for the people you love.

Happy Father’s Day. 🤎

We hope today you feel just how appreciated you are today and every day 💛

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you probably had THAT friend. 🤎

The one who lived down the road.

Or across the street.

The one you didn’t need to text.

You just walked out the front door, bounced the ball or called out…

“Are you home?” 😂

And if they were, that was your afternoon sorted.

No playdates booked weeks in advance.
No itinerary.
No iPad.
No one asking what activity you wanted to do.

Just two kids, some bikes, a basketball and a whole afternoon stretching out in front of you.

You’d play footy in the front yard, wash bikes, build things, make up games, create some crazy soft drink and ice cream concoction, have a water fight and keep playing until the streetlights came on.

Max is that friend for Nedd. 🤎

Every afternoon, Nedd waits for him to get home from school.

And then they're gone.

Playing basketball.
Washing bikes.
Creating projects.
Making up games.
Finding something, anything, to do outside.

Recently, they played so much basketball that the backboard shattered. 😂

So naturally, it became their next project.

They got their dads involved, built a new timber backboard and spent the last couple of days colouring, designing and decorating it together.

And I love that.

Because when you give kids the freedom to figure things out, they create, explore, get dirty, get bored and then find something to do.

They make memories without even realising it.

Every time I hear…

“Mum, can you bring us some water?”

“Mum, grab us a towel!”

…I’m taken straight back to my own childhood.

Your friends were just a shout away.

The street was your playground.

And an ordinary afternoon could become an adventure.

I hope every child gets to experience that one friend.

The kind you can do everything with, or absolutely nothing with, and somehow it’s still the best time ever. 🤎

So tell me, who was your “Max” growing up?

What did you get up to together?

Riding bikes until dark? Building cubby houses? Playing street cricket? Making mud pies?

Tell me about that friend in the comments. 👇🏼

Let’s fill this comment section with the childhood we remember. 🤎

03/09/2026

This wasn’t planned.

There was no lesson in a book.
No curriculum.
No worksheet.
No “learning objective.”
No one telling Jett that today he needed to teach Nedd about life, faith or the things he’s learned along the way.

It just happened.

Two brothers, sitting out the back, talking.

And honestly, these are some of the moments I’m most grateful for.

Because I think somewhere along the way, we became so obsessed with filling our children’s days that we forgot the value of leaving them empty.

We schedule the activities.
The lessons.
The sport.
The appointments.
The screens.
The playdates.

We plan every minute and then wonder why our children don't seem to have the time, space or inclination to simply be.

But when we leave room for boredom… something beautiful can happen.

Children naturally gravitate towards one another.

They create games.
They ask questions.
They share what they know.
They tell stories.
They solve problems.
They teach each other.

And sometimes, an older brother becomes the teacher without ever being asked.

This is one of the things I think we miss when we try to control childhood too tightly.

Not every lesson needs to be planned.

Not every moment needs to be productive.

Not every conversation needs a purpose.

Sometimes we just need to create enough space for life to happen.

Because some of the most meaningful learning our children will ever do…

will never look like learning at all. 🤍

29/08/2026

Sometimes you don't realise who is truly in your corner until you decide to change.

Get healthier.

Stop drinking.

Start training.

Build the business.

Leave the job.

Set the boundary.

Parent differently.

Choose a different path.

Become more disciplined.

Start taking yourself, your health, your dreams and your one bloody life seriously.

And then… watch.

Watch who celebrates you.

Watch who gets curious.

Watch who quietly cheers you on, even if they don't fully understand where you're going.

And watch who suddenly needs to make your growth a joke.

Because one of the greatest lessons I've learned is that the right people don't require you to stay small in order for them to feel comfortable.

They don't need the old version of you.

They don't feel threatened when you become healthier, happier, braver or more successful.

They want to see what happens when you become MORE of who you really are.

And I think that's one of the greatest gifts we can give another human being:

A safe place to grow.

Over the years, we've intentionally built our lives around people who dream big, ask different questions, celebrate one another's wins and aren't afraid to challenge the stories they've inherited about how life is “supposed” to look.

And perhaps even more importantly, we've tried to become those people for others.

Because sometimes all someone needs is ONE person in their corner saying:

“Go on. Give it a fu***ng good shot. I'll be right here.”

So here's my invitation:

If you're standing on the edge of changing something in your life - your health, your work, your family, your business, your habits or simply the person you're ready to become - find the people who light up when you talk about where you're going.

And if you're looking for more people like that in your corner…

you're very welcome in ours. ❤️

Follow and stick around.

We're here for the people brave enough to ask:

“What if my life could look different?”

HE**IN WAS ONCE PRESCRIBED BY DOCTORS FOR COUGHS

We’ve been here before.

In 1898, Bayer began commercially producing he**in - yes, he**in.

It wasn’t initially sold as some dangerous street drug.

It was marketed as a safe, non-addictive alternative to morphine and promoted as a powerful remedy for respiratory conditions.

Doctors prescribed it for severe coughing associated with illnesses such as bronchitis, pneumonia and tuberculosis.

He**in was even used in cough remedies because of its ability to suppress coughing and induce sleep.

And then something happened.

They began to recognise what we now know very well:

He**in was highly addictive.

Patients developed dependence.
Tolerance increased.
Higher doses were often needed.
And the drug eventually became recognised as far more dangerous than its early marketing suggested.

So why does this matter today?

Not because we should distrust every doctor.

Not because modern medicine has no place.

And certainly not because we should pretend we can treat everything with plants.

It matters because history should make us humble.

What is considered safe today can look very different with another 20, 50 or 100 years of evidence and what us even scarier is that often times medications are developed with no longer term safety studies.

A prescription doesn't automatically equal harmless.

A pharmaceutical product doesn't automatically equal all bad.

And a product marketed as "natural" doesn't automatically equal safe.

The answer isn't blind trust in either side.

It's learning.

It's asking questions.

It's understanding what we're putting into our bodies.

It's looking at evidence.

It's considering the why behind our symptoms rather than simply asking, “What can I take to make this disappear?”

And perhaps most importantly...

We should never stop questioning what we think we already know.

Because medicine has changed dramatically throughout history.

And it will continue to change.

Being informed isn't anti-medicine.

It's taking responsibility for your health.

When you look at the current state of the world + health care system we could all do with a LOT more of that.

28/08/2026

There is a kind of confidence that comes from knowing you have options.

And the mums who have built a natural first-aid cabinet in their homes know exactly what we mean.

It’s 2am and someone wakes up uncomfortable.

A tummy hurts.

A child is unsettled.

Someone can’t switch off.

There’s a sore throat, painful ear, a tired body, a long night, a seasonal sniffle or simply a little human who needs emotional support.

And instead of immediately feeling helpless...

you have somewhere to start.

You open the cupboard.

You reach for the tools you've learned how to use.

You know what your family responds well to.

You know how to create comfort while you decide whether anything further is needed.

And that knowledge changes something in you.

You become calmer.

You stop feeling like every little thing is an emergency.

You trust yourself more.

You feel prepared rather than powerless.

And perhaps most importantly...

your children feel that too.

They see a mum or dad who doesn't immediately panic.

They experience being cared for with intention.

They grow up learning to listen to their bodies, advocate for their health and understand that looking after themselves is something they can actively participate in.

That creates a ripple effect far bigger than a cupboard full of oils, balms and natural remedies.

It changes the emotional temperature of a home.

We've watched this happen in families for years.

The greatest gift of building a natural first-aid cabinet isn't believing you will never need a doctor, pharmacist or hospital again.

It's knowing you don't have to feel helpless in the moments in between.

You have knowledge.

You have tools.

You have options.

And you have the confidence to know when something is within your scope to support at home - and when it's time to ask for help.

That feeling is hard to explain until you've experienced it.

But the mums who know...

KNOW.

There's a very particular kind of peace that comes from looking at your little family and thinking:

"Whatever today brings, Ive got you."

And once you've felt that level of empowerment. You'll understand why we're so passionate about helping orher families feel it too.

Maybe the life you’re meant to live isn’t the one you planned.

Maybe it’s the detour.
The plot twist.
The door that closed.
The plan that fell apart.
The thing you never saw coming.

We spend so much of our lives trying to control the timing, predict the outcome and make everything unfold according to plan.

But some of the most beautiful chapters of our lives begin with, “Well… this wasn’t the plan.”

The unexpected move.
The person you almost didn’t meet.
The opportunity you nearly said no to.
The ending that made space for a beginning.
The season that stretched you into someone you never knew you could become.

Not every detour is taking you off course.

Sometimes it IS the course.

So make the plans. Chase the dreams. Work hard for the things that matter to you.

But leave a little room for life to surprise you.

Trust the timing.
Trust the redirections.
Trust the plot twists.

You might just look back one day and realise the parts you never planned were the parts that made your life yours. 🤍
