🍗 𝐖𝐡𝐨’𝐬 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦!

Homemade chicken schnitzels were on the menu, but first came the shopping! 🛒 Everyone worked together to pick up the ingredients they needed before heading back to the kitchen to prepare, crumb and cook their schnitzels from scratch.

Along the way, the group put plenty of skills into practice, including meal planning, shopping, food preparation, kitchen safety and teamwork.

Who else loves a good homemade schnitzel? 🙋‍♀️

Participants brought back a bit of nostalgia, building and testing two different race tracks.

The Scalextric track was definitely the favourite, with plenty of races, laughs and friendly competition!

Safe to say, there may already be requests for a rematch! 😄

🔨 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!

It was all hands on deck as participants in the woodworking program worked on their Father’s Day projects!

Alex and Rex were busy drilling and sanding materials ready for the caddy crates, Ben was mastering his rope-tying skills for the trays, and David continued working on his coasters.

Lots of concentration, creativity and great work happening in the workshop. We can’t wait to see the finished products! 👏

B.R.A.V.E. Group Facilitators have been busy collaborating, sharing ideas and putting the finishing touches on the new program. There’s been plenty of great conversation, fresh thinking and teamwork around the table — and we’re excited about what’s in store!

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁.𝐑.𝐀.𝐕.𝐄. 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐬𝐤?
B.R.A.V.E. (Building Relationships and Valuing Everyone) is a fun and inclusive program where young people build friendships, confidence and life skills through shared experiences and community connections.
The program is delivered every Tuesday and Thursday - 10am-3pm.
Activities include community outings, team building, volunteering, cooking, fitness, and social participation.

Barossa Home & Community Options participants have been learning all about bugs and insects, so they took that learning out into the community with a visit to Woodside Cheese Wrights!

While there, the group picked up some Green Ant Cheese and decided to give it a try. Everyone had a taste — with a few interesting reactions along the way! 😄

It was a fun way to try something a little different and put their learning into action.

The Sunday Adventure Crew enjoyed an action-packed day at P1 Entertainment!

Go-karting was a fun way to practice concentration, coordination, decision-making and awareness of others, while building confidence and trying something new.

🌟 A special mention to Gary, who had never driven before. He overcame his nerves and independently made his way around the track — a fantastic achievement!

The group finished the day with lunch and a visit to St Kilda Playground.
