A great turn out today for event #416 at Oakey parkrun with 46 participants, one very first timer and eight first timers to Oakey.

Pb’s were recorded by local legend Mitchell Sutton in 1st place, Chynna Oakley, first female in 3rd place and John Groundwater, congratulations!

We welcomed visitors from Forest Lake and Highfields.

Thank you to the awesome volunteers today for making the event possible: Valma Cahill, Ken Cahill, Amy Gamble, Steve Evans, Jessica McKay, Ayden McKay and Kate Paige.

Hopefully a nice morning tomorrow for event #416 at Oakey parkrun for a walk, run or jog.

Let us know if you are visiting or celebrating a milestone. First timer brief begins at 6:45am followed by the full briefing at 6:50 and start at 7.00am.

Don’t forget your barcode or if you are not registered you can register at www.parkrun.com.au/ if you wish to receive a time and finish place.

Oakey parkrun is on tomorrow and we’ve got one little job still waiting for someone awesome…

Never done it before? No worries! We’ll show you everything you need to know. It’s a super simple role, you get a front-row seat to all the action, and you’ll be helping make sure everyone gets their well-earned finish time. 🙌

Whether you’re a regular volunteer, a first-timer, a walker, jogger or runner — everyone is welcome to jump in!

There was plenty happening out on course today — 8 NEW PBs, first timers, milestones, visitors and heaps of smiles from start to finish! 🙌

🔥 OAKEY, WE’RE DOING THIS AGAIN TOMORROW! 🔥

Another Saturday. Another 5km. Another good excuse to get out of the house. 😂

No matter how you get around it — walk, jog, run or a combination of all three — tomorrow morning is about getting together, having a laugh and enjoying a bit of movement.

You might be chasing a PB.
You might be chasing your kids.
You might be chasing the person in front of you. 😂
Or you might just be chasing the finish line.

Whatever your reason, come along.

🥶💚 Oakey parkrun #412 – What a Morning!

The thermometer might have been struggling, but our parkrun community certainly wasn’t! A crisp winter morning, plenty of happy faces and an incredible atmosphere made for another brilliant Saturday at Arthur Shooter Park.

A massive congratulations to our new PB superstars:
