✨ Meet Ollie! ✨

We’re so excited to introduce Ollie to the Inspire Inclusion team!

Ollie brings compassion, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting others. Growing up with ADHD and autism has given him a deep understanding of the importance of feeling heard, respected and supported — something he carries into every interaction with participants and families.

A few fun facts about Ollie
🏂 He’s an avid snowboarder
🪳 He really dislikes cockroaches
🎹 Music is everything — he plays piano
🥔 His favourite food is mashed potatoes

We became the ultimate bread-winners, learning to make various loaves from scratch. 😋

Bread rolls, loaves, baguettes, and some very fancy designs that were almost too pretty to eat.

Share your ideas and help us design our new Disability Strategy!

Come along to our community consultation sessions in Bathurst next week. We want to make sure people with disability get to have a say in the services that support them in western NSW. We want to hear about:
✅ what is working well,
✅ what is not working, and
✅ where things could be better.

🚩Where: Bathurst RSL (Heritage Room), 114 Rankin Street, Bathurst.

🚩Dates and times:
1️⃣ Tuesday, 21 April 2026, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. This session is for people with intellectual disability and their family or carers.
2️⃣ Wednesday 22 April 2026, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. This session is for people with any kind of disability and their family or carers.

We want to better meet the needs of people with disabilities in western NSW, by:
✅ making our health services easier to access, more welcoming and inclusive.
✅ listening and communicating better with people with disability, their families and carers.
✅ being a good employer of people with disability.
The new Disability Strategy will describe how we will work to achieve these things.

We especially welcome applications from male support workers to help provide diverse and balanced support for our participants.

Requirements:
🪪 Valid Driver’s License
🚘 Reliable car with insurance
⛑️ First Aid and CPR
🖥️ NDIS Screening Check
🖥️ Working With Children Check
👩‍⚕️ Minimum 2 years experience
🎓 Cert III in Individual Support, or willingness to work towards it

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔️ Reliable and trustworthy
✔️ Transparent in communication
✔️ Has a good sense of humour
✔️ Excellent interpersonal skills
✔️ Knowledgeable about Duty of Care and Choice & Control
✔️ Experienced in working with complex behaviours
