Destination Accessible

Destination Accessible Geelong & The Bellarine's Multi Award Winning Disability Accommodation and Support Services The same year saw King Tide Townhouse win Best Luxury Home.

We strive to promote tourist attractions on The Bellarine that offer mobility accessibility, and to provide motivation and tools to the tourism industry to create inclusive travel opportunities. This page has been created in conjuction with our main business page

“Our vision is to create a region that is inclusive of all people, to inspire other tourism operators to think abou

t their own businesses around accessible travel, and to encourage everyone to embrace sustainable change.” Christine Smith, Manager. Founded in 2007, Great Ocean Stays is a holiday rental and property management service offering boutique accommodation on the Bellarine Peninsular. Long before Airbnb, we advertised ocean-side accommodation through an easy to view online booking website, whatever the specialist needs of the prospective guest. We were one of the first to introduce pet friendly rentals during a period when they were almost unheard of. Within 18 months we won a national award through a popular tourism website for Best National Pet Friendly Holiday Home. We continue to lead and inspire tourism operators and property owners in the region to exceed the expectations of the traveller with service excellence. As part of our commitment to provide inclusive travel and service, we have purpose built a complex of accessible holiday homes in the heart of Ocean Grove. Our build philosophy was to present adaptable homes that respond effectively to the needs of all by providing beautiful accessible spaces. Completed in 2015, these are a welcome addition to the region and a step forward in providing a focus on The Bellarine Peninsular as being “Accessible For All”. We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula!

Here at Destination Accessible, we’ve been a registered NDIS provider for more than a decade.

There’s been a lot of debate recently about registration but for us it made sense early on.

We first became registered in 2013 to align with the National Quality and Safeguarding standards introduced with the NDIS.

For us, registration is about delivering supports that are safe, consistent and accountable under an independent regulatory framework.

It also allows us to deliver a broader range of supports including high-intensity and complex care, and accommodation services.

Registration is something we will continue to support and reflects our strong commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred support.

Cultura is delighted to welcome Jess Harper as our new CEO, commencing 15 June 2026.

Jess is a Geelong local with deep leadership experience across disability, community and government sectors. He’s passionate about people, inclusion, quality and collaboration and he’s looking forward to getting out and about across our programs to meet our communities, staff and volunteers.

On his appointment as CEO, Jess said:
“I’m honoured and excited to be joining Cultura as CEO in just a few short weeks. Cultura’s values and purpose deeply resonate with me. I look forward to working alongside the team as we take Cultura into its next phase of growth, high-quality service delivery and connection with the communities we serve.”

A heartfelt thank you to our Interim CEO, Rebecca Smith, for her commitment and passion for continuously improving quality outcomes for clients over the past year, during a transition period since the departure of longstanding CEO, Joy Leggo OAM. Your leadership and care have been invaluable.

Please join us in welcoming Jess to the Cultura family! We can’t wait to introduce him at upcoming events and activities across our sites.
