I’ve never really been someone who was comfortable following a path just because it’s what we’re told that we are “supposed to do.”

The older I get, the more I realise that success isn’t about ticking all the boxes society sets for us.

It’s about having the freedom to choose.

To raise my children in a way that feels right for our family. To question things that don’t sit right with me. To pursue something I’m genuinely passionate about. To build a business around natural health, connection and helping others.

Studying naturopathy and creating Wild Wellness has been about so much more than a career.

It’s been about creating a life where my values, my work and my family don’t have to exist separately.

And I’m still learning, growing and figuring it all out along the way.

I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t believe there’s only one right way to live.

But I do believe we get to question the life we’re told to want and create one that actually feels like ours.

Freedom looks different for everyone. This is what it looks like for our family 🤍🌿

A little reminder for the week ahead, for you and for me 🤍

When you’re used to holding everything together, letting go can feel uncomfortable. You want to know what happens next, whether you’re making the right decision, and how it’s all going to work out.

But you’re allowed to take the next step without having every answer.

You can care deeply and still put something down. You can change direction. You can choose what feels right for you, even when other people don’t understand.

This week, I’m practising loosening my grip on the outcome and paying more attention to what I need along the way.

A little more trust in myself. A little less pressure to have it all figured out.

What are you ready to loosen your grip on this week?

You don’t have to earn rest by reaching the point of exhaustion. And you don’t have to feel exactly the same every day of the month. 🤍

So many of us were taught how to hide our periods long before we were taught how to understand our cycles.

We learnt to carry on, push through and apologise for feeling emotional. But there is value in slowing down and noticing your own patterns.

How do you feel throughout the month? What happens to your sleep, appetite, energy and mood? What feels supportive, and what feels like another expectation you’re trying to live up to?

For me, cycle awareness starts with curiosity and compassion. Nourishing yourself consistently. Making room for rest. Choosing movement that feels right for you. Giving yourself permission to adjust.

Your experience doesn’t have to match a perfect 28-day calendar, and you haven’t failed if you don’t feel energetic or sociable around ovulation. Use this guide as a conversation starter, rather than a rigid set of rules.

Foods can be enjoyed throughout the whole month, and herbs and supplements need individual assessment rather than being added automatically for each phase.

You deserve to feel heard, to ask questions and to have symptoms that affect your life taken seriously.

Save this for a gentle check-in with yourself, and tell me: have you noticed patterns in how you feel throughout your cycle? 🌿

Apparently I’ve reached the stage of life where my coffee, my peace and being home at a reasonable hour are very important to me 😂🤍

I still care what people think. I’d love to pretend I don’t, but I can absolutely turn one passing comment into a three-day internal investigation.

I’m just getting a little tired of letting everyone else’s opinions have so much say in how I live.

Sometimes my no means I’m exhausted. Sometimes I want a quiet afternoon. Sometimes I simply don’t want to, and I’m practising saying that without submitting a full supporting document.

We all have responsibilities, worries and things going on that other people don’t see. A little less judgement and a little more “how can I help?” would go a long way.

And if you really want to walk in my shoes, please bring the washing in on your way past. I’ve forgotten it twice.

What are you officially too tired to keep pretending you’re okay with? 😂

You look after everyone else. But have you had a moment to think about how you’re nourishing yourself?

When life gets full, it’s easy for meals to become whatever you can grab between everything else. There’s no judgement here. Just a gentle reminder that your needs deserve space too.

This carousel explores iron, zinc, vitamin B12, magnesium and vitamin C, alongside everyday foods that can help you include more of them.

One thing I want you to remember: cold hands, thinning hair, headaches, tingling or easy bruising don’t automatically mean you have a nutrient deficiency. These symptoms can have many causes, and persistent or unexplained changes deserve proper assessment rather than guessing which supplement you need.

Nourishment can begin with simple, affordable additions. Lentils stirred into dinner, eggs on toast, a handful of nuts or some colourful vegetables alongside your usual meal.

You don’t need to eat perfectly to care for yourself. You deserve regular meals, thoughtful support and time to understand what’s going on in your body.

Save this for a little inspiration when planning your next grocery shop, and explore personalised naturopathic support through the link in my bio.

With love,
Sar xx

Some of the most meaningful work I’ve done has been the quiet work within.

Getting honest with myself about what hurts. Noticing the patterns I keep returning to. Learning to set boundaries, even when the people pleaser in me wants to say yes.

I’m learning to meet the parts of myself I used to hide with a little more compassion. To give the younger version of me the kindness and reassurance she needed. To ask what I actually want, underneath everything I’ve been taught I should be.

I’m still learning. I have messy days, old habits and moments when choosing myself feels uncomfortable.

This is part of the heart behind Wild Wellness with Sarah. Making space for our whole selves, for gentle rituals and honest conversations, and for a life where our own needs matter too.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin treating yourself with love.

What are you slowly learning to let go of?

The Wild Wellness Study Journal.
There are so many practices I already love, and I want to make space to revisit them, understand them more deeply and bring you along, as incorporate these modalities back into my life while the warmer months in Melbourne approach.
We’ll explore seasonal eating, nourishing meals on a budget and where organic choices fit into real life. We’ll look into red and near-infrared light, grounding mats, steam and sauna, vibration plates, meditation, frequency music and tuning forks.
There will also be conversations about Reiki, EFT, NLP and CBT-informed tools, alongside the everyday rituals of slowing down, caring for ourselves and making room for rest.

I’ll bring my naturopathy background, my curiosity and my own experiences to this series. Well ask what the research supports, where evidence is limited, what things cost and what feels practical in everyday life.
These approaches don’t all have the same evidence behind them, and I want to be honest about that.
As I reintroduce suitable practices one at a time, l’ll journal what I notice about my sleep, energy, comfort and mood. I’ll share the things I enjoy, anything that doesn’t suit me and the times I notice no difference.

My experience will be one person’s experience, rather than proof that something works for everyone.
Most of all, I want this to be a welcoming space to learn and reconnect with ourselves, without another impossible routine or expensive shopping list to keep up with.
Come along with me. What would you love to explore first?
Educational content and personal reflections, not individual treatment advice.

The therapy my soul craves the most is spending time making memories with the people that I love most 🥹♥️

Sometimes the saying is true, laughter, love, peace and happiness is free and it’s the best medicine there is for the soul 🤍🤍
