What a way to celebrate five years of CosMedic by taking out the winner in the Excellence in Personal and Lifestyle category at the Orange Business Awards.
A huge thank you to Business Orange for another incredible event and for the work you do supporting and celebrating small businesses in our community.
To Mel Watson for pulling it all together, and to Banksia Orange | Event Space and Holly Amber for being fabulous hosts — thank you.
To our fellow finalists — I said it in my speech and I’ll say it again: comparing the businesses in our category is like comparing apples, oranges and pears. We each have completely different skill sets, serve our community in different ways and bring something unique to Orange. It was genuinely an honour to stand alongside you all. Congratulations.
To our beautiful Hayley Shiels — while you may not have taken home Employee of the Year, being named a finalist was so incredibly well deserved. You are a winner to us every single day. And to Nancy and Steph, thank you for completing our little CosMedic family. Going to work every day is easy when you genuinely love what you do — and the people you get to do it with.
To my family, and especially my husband Michael — thank you for supporting me in every possible way over the past five years. None of this happens without the people behind the scenes who pick up the pieces, cheer you on and keep life moving while you chase slightly crazy dreams.
And finally, to the 10,000+ beautiful individuals who have walked through our duck egg blue doors over the past five years — this award belongs to you too.
You have trusted us not only to care for you through our services, but you’ve let us into your lives. We’ve shared births, deaths, marriages, divorces, celebrations, heartbreaks and so many ordinary little moments in between.
