Recovery looks different for everyone and is never a straightforward journey. A lot of people are scared of weight gain, but it is often hard to see what else you gain:
- a normal menstrual cycle
- a social life
- brain space that isn't taken up by the next workout or meal
- energy to do the things you love
- enjoyment in exercise
- better skin
- muscle and strength
- and so much more
At my lowest I (Nadia) was 55kg, at my heaviest I was 80kg. But whatever the number is, being healthy and happy and living life to the fullest is what is most important.

Meal prep Monday - Jacket potato. Endlessly customisable & comforting on a chilly winter night!

Per person:
- 1-2 potatoes
- 1/2 cup of a protein (this has a tofu & black bean mix)
- 2 tb of salsa
- 1/4 avocado
- 1tb of feta
- 1-2 cups of salad (this is is slaw mix, cucumber & onion)

You could add other toppings like sour cream or greek yogurt, shredded cheese, corn, pickled onions etc

While there are lots of ways to make a jacket potato, the easiest is to poke some holes in the potato with a fork, microwave for 7-8 minutes, then wrap in foil with a sprinkle of salt and some oil, then airfry for 20 minutes at 200c or until crispy.

Supermarket Saturday!

Have you tried soy protein crisps? Our dietitian’s love this as a way to add extra protein to meals without adding too much volume. Chocolate flavour is perfect for homemade snack bars, or ontop of porridge 🥣

Did you know adding a variety of foods to your meals not only adds different nutrients, but research has found that a large variety of textures can influence how satiated we feel after a meal? In fact, increasing the textural complexity actually decreased food intake - meaning if you’re trying to loose weight, or on a GLP-1, the secret could be to add more food, not less!

This yogurt bowl has caramelised apple, a range of different nuts & seeds, coconut, protein crisps, & granola - all the different textures and flavours increase our bodies oral processing time, which also promotes mindful eating practices (important for a healthy relationship with food!)
