As a Private Midwife, Meg is proud to offer antenatal and birth support for women, including those planning a VBAC birth.

A 2024 study found that care with a known midwife during pregnancy and birth is demonstrated to increase women's chances of a vaginal birth, and midwifery care is demonstrated to decrease birth trauma and increase women's overall satisfaction with birth, irrespective as to whether the birth vaginally or via caesarean birth.
The research makes it clear - women thrive with their own midwife.

FAQ - Can I have care from a Private Midwife if I have a "high risk" pregnancy?
ANSWER - YES!!!

I get asked this question all the time. For women who experience a high risk pregnancy, their Private Midwife can provide care, plus coordinate and facilitate care for women with additional Doctors and health practitioners as per women's individual needs. Most importantly - having care with a Private Midwife provides you with a Midwife who understands your needs and ensures nothing gets missed or overlooked during your pregnancy, birth & postpartum.

Private Midwives are advocates, and this is particularly valuable for women with high risk pregnancies.

A Pregnancy Bodywork session includes;
✨ 1.5hr appointment
✨ Midwife assessment of your baby's position and wellbeing (including fetal heart rate assessment)
✨ Massage & stretching technique focused on releasing tension from your body and soft tissues. By releasing tension we can help support optimal fetal position, reduce pain in pregnancy and support your body for labour & birth.
✨ Post-session guidance for ongoing exercises and stretches to continue throughout pregnancy.

💸 Sessions are eligible to a $113 rebate from Medicare for women with a Medicare card.
