Our Community Lunch is growing, and we’d love you to be part of it. 🧡🩷

What began as a chance for SpiritAbility participants and team members to connect is opening up to our broader community.

With so much conversation and change happening across disability and the NDIS right now, we think there has never been a better time to simply come together, share a meal, connect and have a chat.

Join us on Friday 11 September at 12pm at The Ophir Hotel in Orange.

It is also the perfect chance to meet some of the SpiritAbility team and chat all things Central West Disability Expo before the big day on Wednesday 16 September.

Everyone is welcome. Participants, families, support workers, providers, community members and friends. 🧡🩷

We are incredibly honoured and genuinely humbled to be named a finalist in the Business Orange Awards for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion. 🧡🩷

To be recognised alongside so many fantastic businesses in this category means a great deal to us.

For SpiritAbility, diversity and inclusion has never been something we simply talk about. It is something we want reflected in who we are, how we work, and the people who make up our team.

Jase and Dave are an important part of that.
We are incredibly proud to provide meaningful, mainstream employment to people living with a disability, in genuine roles, paid at award wages, without wage subsidies. Not because it ticks a box, but because people living with a disability deserve the same opportunities to build careers, contribute their skills, be valued and belong in workplaces across our community.

It also matters that the people we support can see themselves represented within our organisation. That they can see people with lived experience working, contributing, connecting and being recognised for what they bring.

Alongside Jase and Dave, we are incredibly proud of the beautifully diverse team that makes SpiritAbility what it is.

We hope meaningful employment for people with disability continues to become less remarkable and simply becomes the norm.

Progress in support work isn't always measured in massive leaps, most of the time, it’s built on a foundation of small wins, shared laughs, and absolute trust.

When we get down to a participant's level, listen to what they need, and celebrate their victories (big or small), incredible things happen. We’re here to be the reliable, enthusiastic team that cheers them on every step of the way, giving families total peace of mind that their loved ones are thriving.

She’s currently the ONLY person working from here, which means productivity is high, the Celine Dion is higher, and spontaneous solo concerts are now part of the daily schedule.

The rest of the team will be joining her soon.

Probably for the best. 😂
