I’d love to hear your thoughts - chime in below ⤵️ Over the past several years I’ve developed a habit of checking in with myself on a daily basis for what I need. This is a practise I had to develop because I had, for the majority of my life, ignored my needs and relied entirely on my intellect to decide for me. There’s a big difference between tuning in and listening to the subtle needs that our bodies can tell us. It’s a practise I’m so grateful for.
Lately I have been noticing that my energy is great, mostly fueled by good sleep and great food. However there’s a level of recovery that my body isn’t getting and I think that is because of my life demands: being a mum of four, attending births at a drop of a hat, and running a business. My nervous system tends to be on somewhat of a low burner at all times, meaning it’s hard to switch off completely. Lately I’ve been relying on herbs that help me do this at night, particularly passion flower, which is an amazing herb to tune out the everyday noise and get the proper recovery that I need from sleep.
