Say hello to Nick Baker Clinical Psychologist!
Nick is a clinical psychologist and relationship therapist, with 13 years training and experience in providing his clients with a safe place and a warm, caring therapeutic relationship to support his clients in their growth, healing and mental health to lead rewarding and fulfilling lives.
Nick is an individual, couples, relationships and s*x therapist who is passionate about supporting his individual and relationship clients achieve their goals. Nick works with a wide variety of clinical presentations including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Autism, self-esteem, eating concerns, attachment and relationship difficulties, navigation of ethical non-monogamy, attachment injury and repair, s*xual health and functioning concerns, and support for gender and s*xual diversity.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Nick has a special interest in supporting fellow members of his community navigate their unique experiences and challenges, including exploration and navigation of gender and s*xuality, experiences of discrimination, stressors arising from intersections with cultural and religious identity.
Nick welcomes clients of all genders, s*xualities, bodies, abilities, cultures and religious backgrounds, and is committed to practicing from a culturally safe, q***r- and neuro-affirming, s*x, kink and poly positive framework in individual, relationship and s*x therapy.
Nick draws from a number of evidence-based therapies to support his clients depending on their needs, including emotion focussed therapy, schema therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy.
Nick is also a board approved, STAP accredited supervisor and provides supervision and consultation support for other psychologists, especially in the areas of couples and relationship therapy and supporting LGBTQIA+ clients.
