Census: Tuesday 11 August 2026
The Census provides a snapshot of people and communities across Australia, helping to plan essential services such as health care, education, transport and community supports.
Autism NT encourages carers, families and supporters to help Autistic people access and participate in the Census.
Ways you can help:
• Support the person to provide their own information where possible
• Explain questions and offer guidance when asked
• Provide accurate information on their behalf if needed
• Help them review and submit their completed form
• Respect their privacy and confidentiality
A range of accessibility supports are available, including Easy Read resources, Auslan video guides, screen reader compatible online forms, braille and audio materials, and translation and interpreting services.
