Meet Carmen Colangelo
Carmen Colangelo is the founder and Managing Director of Carma Care Services, her passion and vision within all things ‘caring’ is second to none and to meet her will radiate a welcome spirit inside of you. Carmen is a positive and creative lady with a passion for life and curiosity to learn all things new, Indoor or outdoor, she is forever oozing creativity.
The idea to start to work in disability come from a deep wish of care she has for people and also from her education. Carmen’s parents and her brother all worked in disability for over 20 years. They had been assisting their grandmother 24/7 from when she was 96 to 102 years old when she died at that fantastic age.
Carma Care itself will be the realisation of Carmen Colangelo’s long-held dream to provide a Day Centre service that offers differentiated educational and recreational spaces for the “differently-abled”. It will welcome school leavers and young adults who would otherwise have access to limited opportunities for growth and personal improvement. The Day Centre will offer a welcoming, serene place where they can belong through the experience of “doing” thus allowing and teaching an increased personal satisfaction and fulfilment for all.
