Love your morning coffee? You don’t have to give it up - but you may want to delay it.
Your cortisol levels naturally peak shortly after waking to help you feel alert and get your day started. Reaching for caffeine immediately can add to that stress response, potentially leaving you feeling more jittery and contributing to an afternoon energy crash.
Instead, try waiting 60-90 minutes after waking before having your first coffee. This allows your body’s natural wake-up process to do its job before caffeine steps in.
A small change that could lead to more stable energy and fewer highs and lows throughout the day.
