For families and students preparing for the transition from high school at the end of 2026, it is never too early to start thinking about what comes next.

Moving into a new environment can be a big change, but it can also be an exciting opportunity to build confidence, develop independence, make connections and explore new interests.

Chloe’s transition from school to Avenue shows what this next chapter can look like when a young person is supported to find their place and discover new opportunities.

Parramatta hub has had an amazing month! Our team members have visited the Harry Potter exhibition, enjoyed a stroll around Wendy's Secret Garden, experimented with fun new recipes, and Luke even attended Disney On Ice. One of our favourite aspects of Avenue is the diversity of activities offered by our Social Team - no two days are the same!

The excitement Zayn brings to the Animals Team at Avenue Frenchs Forest says everything about the welcoming and connected environment the team has created.

Through hands on animal care and shared daily routines, team members build confidence, responsibility and genuine connection with both the animals and the people around them. Being part of the team encourages a strong sense of belonging, where everyone is supported to contribute, engage and enjoy meaningful experiences each day.

Every order packed in Order Fulfilment is part of a much bigger picture. Through hands on work, Tracie is building practical workplace skills including organisation, time management and attention to detail, all within a supportive learning environment.

Being part of Avenue’s microbusiness operations gives participants the opportunity to contribute to real outcomes while growing confidence, independence and workplace capability. It is meaningful work that builds both skills and pride in what is achieved each day.

Through activities like Return and Earn, participants contribute to the day-to-day running of the hub while developing practical skills through real responsibility.

As part of the Hub Management team, participants work together to collect, sort and process containers, helping support both the hub and sustainability initiatives. Along the way, they follow systems, work as part of a team, handle money and experience the satisfaction of contributing to something with a clear purpose.

At Avenue, Hub Management creates opportunities for participants to learn through doing, take on responsibility and make a meaningful contribution as part of a shared effort.
