🦭🚲 A memorable day out for Kai

Recently, when his usual exercise class wasn't available, Kai and his Support Worker, Belinda, made the most of the opportunity with a visit to Nobbys Harbour.

During their outing, they discovered the NovaCare electric-assisted bikes and enjoyed a ride along the breakwall. Along the way, they were treated to a special surprise when a seal appeared beside the rocks and even returned to say hello on their ride back! 🦭

More than just a bike ride, it was a day filled with great conversations, shared stories, fresh sea air, and the chance to enjoy everything happening around the harbour.

Thank you to Belinda for sharing these wonderful photos and for helping create such a positive community experience. πŸ’š

A little look back at our Support and Service Team’s training day. πŸ’š

Our Client Managers joined Frances, our Registered Nurse, for their quarterly clinical training, with a refresher on infection control and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

These sessions are a good opportunity to refresh their knowledge, ask questions and talk through safe practices that are part of their day-to-day work.

Thanks to everyone who took part! πŸ’š

This Brain Injury Awareness Week, we’re sharing Warren’s story.

After a vehicle accident in 2019 resulted in a traumatic brain injury, Warren faced a long road of change and adjustment.
Today, he has rebuilt routines, formed friendships and gained greater independence in the things that matter to him.
His story is a reminder that life after brain injury can look different, but with time, patience and the right support, new possibilities can emerge.

It’s been lovely to see Warren continue moving forward in his own way. πŸ’š

This Brain Injury Awareness Week, we’re taking a moment to recognize the many Australians living with brain injury, and the families, friends and support networks alongside them. πŸ’š

🧠 Brain injury can happen in many ways, including through accidents, stroke, falls, infections and other causes that result in damage to the brain. Its effects can be physical, cognitive, emotional or social, and they aren’t always obvious to others.

For some people, recovery may involve relearning skills. For others, it may mean adapting to changes, building confidence, reconnecting with the community or finding new ways to do the things that matter to them. 🌱

More than 700,000 Australians are living with brain injury that results in activity limitations or participation restrictions.

πŸ’š This week is a reminder to look beyond what we can see, listen to lived experiences, and recognize the importance of understanding, patience and the right support.

Because no two experiences of brain injury are the same.

For many people, independence isn't about doing everything alone, it's about having the right support to live life on their own terms.

Maria has been part of the All About Caring family since 2019. With a dedicated team of Support Workers by her side, she's been able to continue living in her own home and enjoy the independence that's important to her.

Every person's journey is different, and we're grateful to be part of stories like Maria's.

"With All About Caring, I can remain living in my own home and relish life." – Maria

Thank you, Maria, for sharing your experience with us. πŸ’š

Quality support isn't about doing more. It's about doing the little things well, every day.

It's remembering how someone likes their morning coffee, taking the time to really listen, sharing a laugh, and being there when it matters. Over time, those small moments build trust, confidence and genuine connection.

That's what quality support means to us. Helping people feel respected, heard and supported to live life the way they choose. πŸ’š

This National Stroke Week, let's all take a few minutes to learn the signs of stroke. πŸ’™

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time. Recognizing the signs and acting quickly can make a life-changing difference.

Remember F.A.S.T.

🟠 Face – Has one side of their face drooped?
🟠 Arms – Can they lift both arms?
🟠 Speech – Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
🟠 Time – Time is critical. Call 000 immediately.

Taking just a few minutes to learn these signs today could help protect someone you love tomorrow.

Please share this with your family, friends, and community. Together, we can raise awareness and help more people know what to do when every second counts.

πŸ’™ Caring starts with knowledge. Let's all do our part and remember that recognizing the signs of stroke is important every day, not just this week. You never know when that knowledge could help save a life.

Support work is about so much more than completing tasks.

Sometimes it's sharing a laugh, offering encouragement or simply being someone a person can rely on.

Those everyday moments help build confidence, trust and genuine connections.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team for making a difference every single day.

❀️ We appreciate everything you do.
