💙🎉 Today We Celebrate One Incredible Year 🎉💙

Today marks 12 months since we officially opened the Jie Michael Blight Hub, proudly named in honour of the late Jie Michael Blight
What started as a dream has grown into a place filled with friendship, laughter, inclusion, achievement, and opportunity. Every day, we are reminded why this hub was created—to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can build confidence, develop skills, create lasting friendships, and achieve their goals.

Jie had a way of bringing people together with his checky grin, one lines, and Naming our hub in his honour ensures that his legacy continues to inspire everything we do. His memory lives on through every participant we support, every achievement celebrated, and every life touched within these walls.

As we reflect on the past year, our hearts are filled with gratitude.

🎉 Happy First Birthday to the Jie Michael Blight Hub! 🎉

Twelve months ago today, we picked up the keys to the new home of Ability Support Care Tasmania on Main Road, Penguin.

From moving in and officially opening our fabulous new home, we have shared so many memories, laughs, tears, and milestones. From dinner nights and special events to everyday moments, we have met so many wonderful new friends within our community.

A massive thank you to the extended Holland family for everything you have done for us over the past 12 months and for the support, friendship, and encouragement you continue to provide. We are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our journey.

A special shout-out goes to the Penguin Community Op Shop, the Penguin Lions Club, and Shirley Good and Penguin in Pink for your unwavering support throughout the year.

To Julie, Phil and Kade, the family of our late Jie Michael Blight, for whom our hub is proudly named, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and connection to our journey mean so much to us.

And where do we start with our incredible staff? Your dedication, compassion, hard work, and commitment have helped make the Jie Michael Blight Hub the welcoming, caring, and vibrant place it is today. Thank you never seems enough to express our gratitude for everything you do.

To our participants and their families, thank you for your trust, support, and belief in what we do. Watching the many milestones achieved over the past 12 months has been truly humbling. Every achievement, big or small, is worth celebrating, and we are honoured to be part of your journey.
