Hello, my name is Paul Kenny and I have been an Educator for over 35 years teaching in the fields of Music (Piano, Keyboard, Theory) and also various school subjects such as English, Reading and Maths as a School Tutor. I've studied at various universities across the world and know how hard it can be to sustain a sense of focus on what you are doing. I have seen to many students over the years struggle with focus and trying to achieve their goals or to simply get through another grade or year at school. It is a constant issue for students and also parents of the student who suffer with Attention Deficit Disorder, or ADD/ADHD, that each step of their learning is blocked by this condition.
People of all ages can suffer from the affects of Attention Deficit Disorder, or ADD/ADHD. I prefer to call it "Attention Different". People who have ADD or similar conditions can find it exceedingly difficult to concentrate on a task. They will find themselves distracted by the smallest detail. It may take minutes or hours before they can finally get back to the original task and concentrate on it for a few minutes, only to find themselves distracted again. This is a common disorder, and it has a tremendous impact on the sufferer's mental health and well being.
The impacts are wide and varied. In school-age children, Attention Deficit Disorder can often lead to disruptive students, or just poor learners. These children are by no means unintelligent or unable to learn, but they have problems being focused on the task at hand. Thus, they will bounce from one activity to another, rarely finishing any of the tasks they begin. Their grades begin to suffer, and school then becomes too much for them to handle.
Well there maybe some assistance for these students that does not require the introduction of drugs or medications. Totally natural solutions and simple lifestyle changes could replace traditional medications. Before using any natural products please consult your GP or Medical Consultant.
