When recovering from illness, you often have lower activity and appetite levels. Adding spices to your meals adds a high volume of phytonutrients and antioxidants for a small volume of food. This can be as simple as a cinnamon sprinkle on oats or a smoothie, dressing your salad with homemade basil or rosemary pesto or adding antioxidant curry spices into a chickpea and pumpkin soup.
