✔ 5 x supervised 1:1 sessions with Exercise Physiologist (30 mins each)

Lets talk bone health 🦴

Osteoporosis is a condition where bones lose density & become fragile, increasing fracture risk - especially in the spine, hip & wrist.

In Australia, 66% of people over 50 have low bone mass, and fracture risk increases significantly after menopause.

Good news though, bones respond really well to certain exercise!

❌ Unfortunaltly walking & swimming alone are not enough to increase bone density.

Bones need LOAD & IMPACT

✅ Progressive resistance training & impact loading (stomping/jumping) are more effective to preserve and improve bone mineral density.

👉 45 minute small group circuit class (max 3 people)

👉 Combination of body weight, free weights & mat work to build and maintain mobility and muscle strength for healthy aging and prevention & management of chronic disease
👉 For those who are unsure about entering a busy gym environment and/or want more supervision to build confidence and feel safe with exercise

Note* These classes are general strength, if you have a more complex condition/injury and would like a more personalised program to suit your condition & needs please book a one on one session with an exercise physiologist prior to group classes!

I recently found a super interesting article on the benefits of light & gentle skin rolling movements (C-tactile touch used in Bowen Therapy).

They found it can help those suffering from stress related disorders, fibromyalgia and chronic pain by improving sleep & relaxation, helping to regulate physiological responses and pain perception in the body as well as enhancing emotional wellbeing.
