✨ WHEN SOMETHING SHIFTS, EVERYTHING CAN BEGIN TO CHANGE. ✨
My son was once withdrawn, hesitant to get involved in anything, and easily overwhelmed. When things felt too big, the tears would flow, and watching him struggle to move through those feelings was hard as a mum.
I explored different modalities, hoping to find something that would support him, but nothing seemed to create the shift we were looking for.
So I held space for him. I listened, supported him, and allowed him to move through things in his own time, without forcing him to be someone he wasn’t ready to be.
Then came Spinal Flow. 🤍
From his very first session, I noticed a shift in his confidence.
By his second session, he wanted to participate in show and tell at school, something he had refused to do the previous term.
Since then, I’ve watched him take more steps outside his comfort zone. He now participates in school sport and has even expressed an interest in joining a team outside of school.
Today was another beautiful reminder of just how far he has come. 🥹
He felt nervous about the unknown, the new faces, and what was expected of him. The difference was that he was able to move through those feelings so much faster, with my support.
Instead of allowing the fear to keep him on the sidelines, he made the decision to take himself out onto the field.
And he had the BEST time!
His words afterwards were everything:
“Mum, once I moved through the scary part, I had the best time.” 🤍
That right there is what makes my heart so full.
Not because the fear disappeared, but because he experienced that he could feel it, move through it, and still do the thing that once felt impossible.
Spinal Flow has been a beautiful part of my son’s journey back towards confidence, connection and trusting himself.
As a mum and a Spinal Flow practitioner, watching him begin to navigate his emotions without becoming stuck in them has been incredibly powerful.
It’s not about removing every uncomfortable feeling or making life easy. It’s about creating space for our children to feel, process, and discover that they are capable of moving through difficult moments.
Because sometimes, when a child feels overwhelmed, they don’t need us to push them harder or tell them to be brave.
They need to feel safe enough to find their own bravery. 🌿
And sometimes, the biggest shift isn’t that they no longer feel scared.
It’s that they no longer let the fear decide what they can and cannot do.
This is why I do what I do. This is why I believe in holding space for the body’s own process, and why my journey with Spinal Flow means so much to me.
Watching your child begin to believe in themselves again is something words can hardly describe. 🫶🏻
