𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗭𝗶𝗻𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗽 & 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘁

It's Liptember, so a lip product as product of the month felt right.

This one's the Avocado Zinc SPF 50 Natural Lip & Cheek Tint. It's a balm stick you can use on your lips, your cheeks and your eyelids, and it's carrying 25% zinc oxide while it does it. So it's sunscreen that happens to have colour in it, rather than makeup with a bit of SPF thrown in as an afterthought.

Honestly, that's why I like it. Most of us are pretty good at putting sunscreen on our face and then completely forgetting our lips.

A few things worth knowing:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁: zinc oxide 25%, avocado oil, shea butter, castor oil and vitamin E
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁: fragrances, preservatives, chemical actives, parabens, silicones or artificial dyes
𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗦𝗣𝗙 𝟱𝟬, and vegan, cruelty free and reef friendly
𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗵 by a TGA registered manufacturer, in recycled sticks

Apply it straight from the stick and blend with your fingers or a brush. Light for everyday, or layer it up if you want more depth. It sits nicely over a tinted moisturiser too.

We've got it in clinic this month at $25, along with the Avocado Zinc concealers. Reapply as directed, and keep it up alongside your other sun protection.

𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿

September is Liptember, run by Women's Mental Health Australia. The idea's pretty simple. You wear a bright lipstick every day for the month, people ask you about it, and you end up having a conversation that probably wouldn't have happened otherwise.

That's genuinely the whole point of it. Their research found 1 in 2 Australian women are currently experiencing mental health issues, and the funds raised go towards research and support programs built specifically for women, rather than programs designed for men and then handed to women afterwards.

So here's what we're doing this month:

•Our lipsticks are on special for all of September
• We're donating parts of lipstick sales
• You'll see us in a different bright shade every single day, whether it suits us or not

We'd love you to do the same, so tag us in your lippy photos, and we'll share them

Look, a lipstick doesn't fix anything. I'm well aware of that. But it does start a conversation, and starting one is usually the hardest part.

We’ve been running our new booking system for a while now, and I’ve adjusted our automated messaging to go with it. All good, except it’s come to my attention that some of you aren’t receiving our messages consistently.

So, a bit of housekeeping.

Please save our messaging number to your phone: 0480 852 006. That’s the number every message from us comes from, and it’s the one to text us on. Saving it stops us landing in your spam folder. And yes, your messages app has a spam folder. Who knew.

Here’s how our booking and confirmation protocol works:

• 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. You’ll get a text confirming your date and time about 10 minutes after the appointment is made.
• 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴. 48 hours before your appointment, we’ll text you to confirm or cancel.
• 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. Call or email us up to 24 hours beforehand and we’ll move it. You’ll get a text confirming the new time.
• 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. You’ll get a text confirming the cancellation has gone through.

If we haven’t heard from you 24 hours out, my team will try you by text or by phone. If we can’t reach you, a cancellation fee applies.

Our cancellation policy is straightforward. Cancellations need to be made no later than 24 hours before your appointment. Anything inside that window and a fee applies.

I’ve recorded a short video walking through it, because honestly it’s easier to hear than read.

If your skin's been feeling a bit parched lately, you're not imagining it. Winter does that. Heaters, hot showers, wind on the drive in. It all adds up.

So for August I've picked the Nu Skin Waterfull Mask as my product of the month. It's a water gel sheet mask that pairs humectants with water binding ingredients, which is a technical way of saying it draws moisture in and helps hold it there.
