๐Ÿช„ Wands at the ready! This is some of the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience we braved last night ๐Ÿช„ And we couldnโ€™t have asked for better weather conditions!
From toasted marshmallows and Butterbeer our cups were overflowing with magic and wonder ๐Ÿซถ
We meandered through an enchanted forest to the sound effects of Harry Potterโ€™s world filled with fantastic beasts and iconic wizarding world moments illuminated throughout the Kalamunda landscape with the most incredible lighting.
There are interactive activities where you can wield your wand and I even found out that my Patronas is a rabbit ๐Ÿ‡ ๐Ÿซถ I love that!
It truly was a magical experience! ๐Ÿง™
did an amazing job at hosting this event

Weโ€™ve had some success this year in the veggie patch with keeping the bugs off and I think itโ€™s because I let the Nasturtium grow throughout and just thinning them back after the veggies got bigger. And Iโ€™ve made some little mini ponds for the frogs ๐Ÿธ so they have a good supply of food ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ› ๐Ÿ˜€

The serious and highly contagious H5 strain of bird flu has spread quickly across the world. State and federal agencies are delivering a response to bird flu in Australia and itโ€™s important for us all to stay informed and prepared.

If you find multiple dead birds or other animals, do not touch them. Instead, take photos or a video, record your location and report it to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

Hereโ€™s what you should know:
1. What is H5 bird flu?
H5 bird flu is a viral disease that primarily affects birds but can infect other animals, such as marine mammals. The likelihood of humans becoming infected is low.
2. How has it spread to other countries?
H5 bird flu can spread through the movement of migratory birds.
3. How can you help?
If you keep pet birds or backyard chickens hereโ€™s some simple steps you can take to help:
๐Ÿ”น Keep wild birds away from your birds by using netting or housing.
๐Ÿ”น Keep bird feed and water out of reach from wild birds.
๐Ÿ”น Keep aviaries and equipment clean.
๐Ÿ”น People should take steps to keep pets away from wildlife, including preventing cats from roaming and keeping dogs on leads in wildlife areas.

๐ŸŒน Rose and Sage ๐ŸŒฟ infused oil
No fancy name or gimmicks, just pure beauty
These 10ml dropper bottles of organic goodness are available in very limited numbers
Next batch will be end of July

Organic homegrown rose petals and sage infused in organic Australian oils to nourish your skin and help it glow

Use on your hands and face any time of day for a bit of self-love ๐Ÿ’“ No added fragrance (totally not necessary when rose petals are the star of the show and sage is the support act)

My oils are created in small quantities, using quality products. I infuse homegrown herbs into Australian organic oils and let the extraction take place over 4-6 weeks in a dark place. No harsh heat, no chemicals and definitely no rush ๐Ÿซถ

Carrier Oils Used:
* Organic Australian Jojoba Oil (from Simmondsia chinensis seeds): Excellent as a natural moisturizer, helps balance oil production, and treats dry or inflamed skin. Itโ€™s an also non-comedogenic (wonโ€™t clog pores). I use The Jojoba Company Wadi-Wadi Jojoba

* Apricot kernel oil: extracted from the kernel and praised for deeply hydrating skin and hair with antioxidants (Vitamins A, E) and fatty acids (Omega-9, 6), reducing inflammation, and improving skin elasticity

* Organic Australian Sweet Almond Oil: enriched with Vitamins A, B, E, fatty acids, protein, and antioxidants. Itโ€™s also a powerhouse for reducing inflammation.

๐ŸŒน Rose and Sage Oil is a natural skin care solution for various skin needs:
* Reduces skin redness or inflammation
* Enhances skin elasticity
* Nourishes dry and flaky skin
* Aids skin healing for eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis

10 ml bottle $22 - very limited stock
and they come in these adorable bags

DM to order

(If thereโ€™s a particular herb infusion youโ€™d like created, just DM me)

๐ŸŒผ note - If you canโ€™t eat it, donโ€™t use it on your skin!

* If you have allergies to Asteraceae/Compositae family, you shouldnโ€™t use calendula

Always perform a patch test first to check for skin sensitivity to any herb or plant infusion.

H5 bird flu confirmed in WA

Date of issue: Saturday 20 June 2026

โš ๏ธ THE SITUATION โš ๏ธ

The first case of H5 bird flu in Australia has been confirmed in a single seabird near Esperance on the south coast of Western Australia.

Internationally this disease has caused deaths in more than 560 species of birds and 100 species of mammals ๐Ÿฅ ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿฆญ

Weโ€™re responding as part of a nationally coordinated plan with Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and stakeholders across WA to reduce the impact of this disease.

๐Ÿ™โ€โ™€๏ธ WHAT YOU CAN DO ๐Ÿ™โ€โ™‚๏ธ

1. Reduce the spread

- If you see multiple sick or dead birds or other wildlife, do not move them. Avoid contact. Record what you see. Report it to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

- Keep pets away from wildlife, including preventing cats from roaming and keeping dogs on leads in wildlife areas.

- When going to and from national parks, reserves or farms, clean your shoes, clothing and vehicle to help prevent spreading diseases between places.

2. Reduce the risk to your poultry and pet birds.

- Prevent wild birds mixing with your birds, and accessing their feed and water.

- Keep pens, aviaries, feeders, water containers and equipment clean.

- Clean boots and wash hands thoroughly with soap before and after visiting poultry or handling birds.

- Monitor birds for signs of disease or sudden deaths and report multiple deaths.
