There is something so special about Western Australian grown seeds. 🌱
Every seed and plant we grow has been carefully selected for its growth habit, specific traits and ability to thrive in our local climate. There is so much work that goes into seed saving, and there’s a reason you don’t see a huge number of WA seed growers. It is hard work.
Seed saving requires patience. It means messy workspaces, masks, dust up your nose, and learning exactly what each individual plant needs. Knowing when to harvest, when to let a plant fully mature and when to allow it to go to seed all comes into play.
But the generosity, knowledge and quality that comes from this work is so incredibly valuable, and we really need to continue supporting seed growers and keeping good quality seed accessible to everyone.
A huge reason I started growing and selling my own seed was because I believe we need plants in our backyards. Being able to source certain plants and seeds can be difficult, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and start growing, saving and sourcing these plants, bringing them together in one place for our community to access.
And now we’re so excited to have a HUGE range of seeds with us this weekend at the Kalamunda Garden Festival ! 🌿
I’ve been non-stop packing seeds, which is why you haven’t seen much of me lately, but we will be fully stocked and ready for you.
