I can safely say our flowers were the most beautiful flowers ever! 🌸 Everything bloomed at just the right time, and I ended up with more than enough, with even more coming through!

I was so surprised that the amaranth pulled through. Keeping it in a warm spot really helped it grow quickly and gave it a chance to adjust during those last few weeks of winter.

I purchased a few anthuriums as an extra special addition to my bouquet, but everything else was grown right here in the garden. The ranunculus timed itself perfectly, with the prettiest pinks and that tiny little touch of green in the centre. The scabiosa and carnations also came through beautifully, not to mention the roses that seemed to bloom at exactly the right moment. 🌹

For my bouquet, I added a little asparagus greenery, which really gave it that extra whimsical feel I was after.

My altar display was thrown together with a few viburnum leaves, yellow dock flowers, beautiful bottlebrush, ranunculus, roses and, of course, the sweetest little daisies.

Seeing everything come together so perfectly, knowing it was all grown right here in my own garden, made it even more special. A little morning flower pick 🌸🌿

Just picked some ranunculus and cosmos and the flowers are really starting to POP! The colour scheme is finally coming together and with the wedding now just over two weeks away, I’m getting very excited 🥹💕

It’s been a busy few months getting everything ready, so I’m really looking forward to getting back into a normal routine very soon.

We still have some seeds and plants available on the website, with pickups still available, so have a little look at what we’ve got left 🌱

Most of our nursery restock will be back around mid October, so not too much longer now!

🌿 A little update from us at Made For The Earth 🌿

With our wedding coming up in October, we’re taking a little step back from the nursery while we get ready for the big day. 💍🤍

This means plant stock is currently a little limited, but we’re still growing and preparing what we can behind the scenes.

We’ll be back to regular trading after 15 October, with plenty of new plants and garden goodness to come! 🌱

There is something so special about Western Australian grown seeds. 🌱

Every seed and plant we grow has been carefully selected for its growth habit, specific traits and ability to thrive in our local climate. There is so much work that goes into seed saving, and there’s a reason you don’t see a huge number of WA seed growers. It is hard work.

Seed saving requires patience. It means messy workspaces, masks, dust up your nose, and learning exactly what each individual plant needs. Knowing when to harvest, when to let a plant fully mature and when to allow it to go to seed all comes into play.

But the generosity, knowledge and quality that comes from this work is so incredibly valuable, and we really need to continue supporting seed growers and keeping good quality seed accessible to everyone.

A huge reason I started growing and selling my own seed was because I believe we need plants in our backyards. Being able to source certain plants and seeds can be difficult, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and start growing, saving and sourcing these plants, bringing them together in one place for our community to access.

And now we’re so excited to have a HUGE range of seeds with us this weekend at the Kalamunda Garden Festival ! 🌿

I’ve been non-stop packing seeds, which is why you haven’t seen much of me lately, but we will be fully stocked and ready for you.

So get your spring seeds sorted and come down and see us this Sunday! 🌱

There will be no Saturday Click & Collect from Maida Vale on 5th of September as we’ll be at the Kalamunda Garden Festival Sunday 6th September!

If you’d like to collect your order from us at the festival, simply select Kalamunda Garden Festival pick up at checkout. 🌱

We’ll be restocking the website on Friday 4 September, so make sure you check in then for our available plants! 🪴

All regular Saturday Click & Collect orders will resume on 12 September.

I ammmm absolutely blown away by the amount of orders we’ve been receiving over the last few weeks!! 🥹💕

I’m beyond grateful and so incredibly happy with all of the support you’ve been showing our little nursery.
It honestly means so much to us! 🤍

We are currently selling out of a lot of our plants, so just a little heads up that plant availability is quite
limited at the moment.
