This year’s theme for National Reconciliation Week is to be ‘All In’. To not only acknowledge this theme, but to carry it into our everyday practice, Superyou is exploring ways to support a stronger connection to Boodja.

Boodja is more than just a connection to Country, it is a spiritual, physical and holistic relationship with the land. It reflects not only the ground we stand on, but the spiritual connections that come with it.

To support this, Superyou has developed a range of activities that we enjoy doing with our clients, these include spending time in nature, learning from Noongar walking trails, listening to native birds, or sharing quiet, grounding experiences together. These actions support wellbeing, help regulate our nervous systems, and deepen our connection to ourselves, each other and Country.

By slowing down, noticing, connecting with and appreciating Boodja, we are learning to walk more respectfully together. This is what being ‘all in’ looks like at Superyou.

Stay tuned for how we will be implementing this into our therapies.

💛 Parenting a child with developmental concerns or disability can feel like a lot to carry, and you shouldn’t have to do it alone.

That’s why we’re hosting a free Envisage Families Program for parents and carers!

Across five weekly workshops (online or in person), we’ll explore your child’s development, your own wellbeing, and how to build strong, supportive relationships around your family.

What makes this program extra special is that it’s co-facilitated by a trained parent with lived experience! So it’s not just practical, it’s deeply understood.

Plus, it’s currently fully funded by the Department of Social Services, so there’s no cost to attend.

If this feels like something you or someone you know could benefit from, we’d love to welcome you. ✨

Yarning is an opportunity to share thoughts, feelings and ideas in a space that feels safe and trusted.

It allows for open communication, for trust to build, and for us to listen with an open heart. It doesn’t follow a linear structure, it’s more circular, building on each layer over time.

In practice, this supports us to build genuine rapport and develop a deeper, more holistic understanding when working with First Nations clients.

Welcome Yarns are one of the ways we bring this approach to life at Superyou. A Welcome Yarn is an opportunity to share thoughts, feelings and ideas in a space that feels safe, respectful and trusted from the very beginning of our relationship.

Cultural safety starts with how we listen.

“My child knows what they want to say… but can’t get it out.”

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor speech condition where the brain has difficulty planning the movements needed for clear speech. It’s not about effort, it’s about how speech is coordinated.

This can look like inconsistent words, unclear speech, or needing extra effort to get words out, even when there’s strong understanding underneath.

With the right support, progress is absolutely possible. Early, targeted therapy can make a real difference.

Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth exploring.

What does the Access and Communication in Education (ACE) Service actually look like in practice?

In this video, we share how we support access, communication and participation in the classroom through our ACE Service.
It’s not just about the student, it’s about the environment around them.

We work alongside school teams, in real classroom settings, to build confidence using AAC and access tools in ways that actually fit into the day to day.

Over time, that means more staff feel confident, and more students can take part in learning in ways that work for them.
If you’re supporting students with communication or access needs, this is the kind of work ACE is designed for.

This work isn’t about therapy for one individual student.
It’s about supporting the environments that learners are in every day.

We work alongside schools, early learning centres, and education providers to build practical systems that support access, communication, and meaningful participation across the whole setting.

If you’re looking to strengthen how your environment supports diverse learners, you can learn more about our education support services below.

Superyou Therapy and Superyou Tech had a great time taking part in the Cahoots Festival of Fun over the weekend.

We joined the day by hosting a community art piece (stay tuned to see where it ends up) and running three building‑block giveaways.

Our team really enjoyed being part of such a welcoming event and meeting so many families. A big thank you to for having us and for hosting such a fantastic day

Lastly this day could not be made possible without the support from our amazing team members. A huge thank you to Josh, Josh, Tara and Tiana!

Our core values and approach shape how we support each individual in their therapy with Superyou. We’re committed to showing up for each client in ways that are neuroaffirming, culturally responsive, and rooted in the understanding that each person’s unique experience is influenced by so many different aspects of who they are.

While these are topics and actions we discuss often, we also make sure we embed them in our everyday clinical practice and often refer to them collectively as our ⚡SPARK ⚡.

This SPARK concept was sparked (get it? 😏) by one of our skilled senior occupational therapists, and is an acronym that always reminds us of the key principles guiding ✨how✨ we show up, make decisions, and collaborate with each person and their support system in therapy.

SPARK emphasises staying connected to what truly matters to our clients, and grounding our work in values that are respectful, responsive, and meaningful - which is what we’re all about. 🤗
