What a wonderful day at the Seniors and Carers Expo last Friday. It was lovely to meet so many older people, families, carers and local care professionals at our stand, and to hear your stories and questions about staying well and independent at home.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. Whether you came with a specific question or just wanted to see what’s available, we really enjoyed connecting with you.

We’d also like to say a special thank you to our supplier partners who joined us on the stand: Hartmann, Abbott, Nutricia, Nestle Health Science, Essity, MUN, Fresenius Kabi, Ego Pharmaceuticals and Flavour Creations. What a great day out! 🚌🥄

Surgical House was delighted to join for a Taste Testing and Dysphagia Training Field Trip on the NSW Upper Central Coast.

We spent the day exploring texture-modified foods, trying them for ourselves, and learning more about how we can support people living with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). There’s nothing quite like tasting the products first-hand to understand the difference good texture and flavour can make at mealtimes. 😋

A big thank you to the Flavour Creations team for the invitation and for so generously sharing your knowledge and expertise! 💙

🎸 Gig for a good cause!
Our Operations Manager, Craig, swapped the warehouse floor for the stage over the weekend, playing with his band Bravo Inferno at the Gidgestock Music Festival in the Perth Hills.

Now in its 11th year, Gidgestock is a family-friendly festival held on a beautiful 50-acre bush property in Gidgegannup. Everyone involved gives their time for free, from the 22+ bands to the stage crew, volunteers and hosts Steve & Jo Mitcham, who open their gates for the weekend.

All profits go to local charities and emergency services, including:

What a wonderful day at the Be Understood Expo in Melton! 💙🎨

On Saturday, which was World Mental Health Day, our VIC Business Development Manager Jade joined the community at Melton Specialist School for a day all about mental health, wellbeing and making sure everyone living with Autism or an intellectual disability feels heard, understood and accepted. 🌈

Surgical House was proud to sponsor the face painting, and Jade got stuck in with a brush herself! 🖌️😊 We loved seeing so many smiling faces (some with butterflies, tigers and rainbows on them!) and chatting with families, carers and support workers from the local community.

A big thank you to local charity for putting on the event and everyone who came along and made the day so welcoming. 🙌
