📍🚗 Regional Roadshow – Shepparton

Last week, our very own Surgical House cowgirl 🤠, Jade Ryan, headed regional alongside our incredible supplier partners Evette Michael (InterMed Medical) and Kate Symons & Grace Egerton (Abbott Nutrition) to visit the Dietetics Department at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton. 🏥💙

It was a fantastic session packed with education 📚, innovation 💡, and collaboration 🤝.

✨ InterMed Medical introduced the new Medicina GFit Gastrostomy Button and demonstrated the innovative FreeArm Feeding Assistant. We were thrilled to see InterMed generously donate a FreeArm to Goulburn Valley Health 🎁, allowing clinicians to demonstrate its benefits to patients and incorporate it into NDIS and Support at Home plans where appropriate. The FreeArm is a truly life-enhancing piece of equipment 💙, supporting greater independence 🙌 and improved quality of life 🌟 for people receiving enteral nutrition both in hospital and in the community.

✨ Abbott Nutrition showcased their intuitive FreeGo Enteral Feeding Pump and provided an overview of their dedicated nursing support service 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️, highlighting the clinical and community resources available to support individuals receiving enteral nutrition at home 🏡.

✨ We also enjoyed a product tasting session 😋 with the team, featuring a range of nutrition support products. The new Nutricia FortiCare™ range received excellent feedback on flavour and texture 👏, while the Fortisip Mocha ☕ proved a crowd favourite. The Tropical Ginger flavour 🍍🥥 sparked comments of “piña colada vibes,” and the Nestlé Resource Berry range 🍓 was also well received.

🙏 A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Goulburn Valley Health for welcoming us on-site. It was a pleasure meeting with clinicians, discussing patient outcomes 💬, and exploring how Surgical House can support people living with complex conditions through access to essential medical consumables and ongoing community-based care following hospital discharge.

✨ Surgical House Victorian BDM, Jade Ryan, attended the 2026 Monash Children’s Hospital Gala last week, joining the community in raising funds to support children born with a cleft lip and/or palate. 💙

A cleft lip and palate is a congenital condition that can affect a child’s ability to feed, speak and hear, often requiring multiple surgeries and ongoing specialist care throughout childhood.

🌟 It was an inspiring evening dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for these children and their families as they navigate complex treatment journeys.

🤝 At Surgical House, we are proud to support people in the community facing complex health journeys, as well as the clinicians who care for them, by helping ensure continuity of access to the medical consumables they need throughout their care.
