💙 Connecting with the people who make a difference in our community

It was wonderful for Jade Ryan, Surgical House Victoria BDM, to catch up with the team at Nuture Disability & Aged Care Support Services () in Greensborough this week. 👋

What a knowledgeable, caring and community-focused team! 💙

It was fantastic to hear about Nuture’s growing range of services, including their newly opened fully accessible countryside retreat, alongside their specialist support coordination, support worker and care planning services. 🌿🏡

Having worked with Surgical House for quite some time, it was also lovely to hear such positive feedback about our Customer Care Team and the reliable, prompt delivery of consumables to their participants. 📦👏

For us, these conversations are about more than products — they’re about building genuine relationships, listening to the needs of the people and organisations we support, and finding ways we can work together to make a difference.

Sometimes, a small act of support can make a big difference. 🤝

This week, Jade Ryan, Surgical House Victoria BDM, connected with Fiona Bainbridge from Fresenius Kabi to support an NDIS participant experiencing weight loss.

After the participant’s mum reached out, Fiona and the team at Fresenius Kabi generously provided a selection of Fresubin complete-meal crème samples, giving the family an opportunity to try different flavours and find an option that suited them. 🥄💙

It’s a great example of what can happen when community connections, clinical knowledge and genuine care come together.

A huge thank you to Fiona and Fresenius Kabi for your generosity and willingness to go the extra mile to support people in the community. 👏

Regional Victoria — Surgical House is on the road! 🚗💨

No matter where you live, Surgical House will always go the extra mile to support NDIS participants, older Australians, their caregivers and the amazing clinicians who support them. 💙

Our Victorian BDM, Jade Ryan, together with some of our wonderful supplier partners, has been busy travelling throughout regional Victoria over the past couple of weeks — and clocking up plenty of kilometres along the way!

From Bannockburn, Geelong and Colac to Shepparton and Seymour, the team has been out and about supporting regional communities with everything from emergency deliveries and education sessions to more of our fun “Show, Tell & Taste” sessions.

We love getting out into the regions, connecting face-to-face with local clinicians and care teams, sharing new products and ideas, and making sure people living outside metropolitan areas have access to the same level of service, support and product choice.

And a huge thank you for all the wonderful country hospitality along the way! We’ve loved every stop. 🥰

Are you tube fed, living with dysphagia, or supporting someone who is? Join us for a relaxed and supportive morning designed to bring people, families, care teams and professionals together. 🤝

Proudly hosted by Surgical House and , with support from .next.door.australia, this biannual gathering provides an opportunity to connect, share experiences and learn about practical support available in the community.

🌟 Featuring Expert Dietitian Emma Gore, APD & Founder of Complete Dietetics, who will lead a practical and meaningful support group session.

🩺 Speak with nurses from Nurse Next Door Geelong and Surf Coast about community nursing and home care support

🌿 WA Road Trip - Connecting with our South West community

Our Client Relationship Manager, Mel, recently headed down to WA’s beautiful South West to connect with local communities, support providers and community partners — and to spread the word about how Surgical House can help people access the products, education and support they need, closer to home. 💙

From NDIS community drop-ins in Dunsborough and Cowaramup, where Mel caught up with Bev and Billy from the NDIS, to conversations with local care providers, it was a fantastic opportunity to listen, share information and build connections across the region.

Mel also met with teams from Southern Cross Care WA, Capecare Dunsborough, Curtin Heritage Living Busselton and At Home Care Bunbury, talking about how Surgical House can support their teams — including our free product education and training.

A key part of the conversations was also sharing information about the Support at Home Program and how Surgical House can help people and providers navigate their product needs.

For us, community connection is about more than supplying products. It’s about being accessible, building relationships and making sure people living in regional communities know where they can turn for practical support and education. 🤝

And of course, a South West trip wouldn’t be complete without enjoying a little of what the region has to offer! 🍇☕ Mel stayed at the lovely Noble Grape Guest House in Cowaramup, with a warm welcome from host Jan and a delicious homemade breakfast to start the day.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with Mel and share their knowledge, questions and experiences. We look forward to continuing to strengthen these local connections. 💙
