Ooops!
Turns out I forgot to post the most recent episode of the diving into and all its flashy goodness.

Peacock Ore is something we all know and hopefully love, seen in crystal shops everywhere and attractive to young and old alike, this term refers to a couple of minerals, Chalcopyrite and Bornite (who are basically siblings) that have oxidised, either by natural or human means.

Like the magickal and royal bird it is named for, you can't help but be attracted to that iridescent shine, the full spectrum of colours over the surface of one stone, and being comfortable shining with that attention is definitely a huge part of its energy.

Tanzanite may just be one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing mineral to be discovered in the 20th century. It's enigmatic and distinctive tones of violet, indigo, purple and blues into shades of green and red with your unheated varieties and specific orientations and light.

Appreciated by collectors, gemmologists, jewellers, lapidarists and by the esoteric/spiritual community, Tanzanite transcends singularities, shifts perspective, it can literally change colour as you turn the stone in your hands, and its rarity only adds to its mystique.

Discovered in Tanzania in 1967 and proven to be the only source of the material in the world due to a recent debunking of what was named "Prairie Tanzanite", found in the USA to be a combination of Lepidolite, Feldspar and other lithium pegmatite material.

The Jaspers are one of the largest mineral families that exist, with so many both legitimate and illegitimate members (many minerals named Jaspers, are not!), this form of microcrystalline Quartz with different inclusions that make it opaque are so much more than your regular Red Jasper (not that its not amazing).
