We’re so often warned not to give too much. But it’s the absence, not the abundance, that leaves lasting wounds…
Every time you respond to your child’s cry, their nervous system learns safety.
Their mind learns trust.
Their heart learns: my feelings are valid, my needs are not too much, my voice matters.
This isn’t indulgence.
It’s the foundation of emotional security.
Because the children who are heard now
are the ones who won’t spend adulthood begging to be understood later.
Answering their cry doesn’t make them needy.
It makes them seen.
And that’s how we build wholeness from the very beginning. ❤️
