The Tasmanian Honey Company began in 1978 as the concept of Julian Wolfhagen, a beekeeper with a profound passion for Tasmania, its wild forests and the honey that they produce. Our success has largely been built on our passion for, and our commitment to the production of wild and uncompromised leatherwood honey, which we like to think of as the distillate of the wilderness.

Happy World Bee Day 🐝

Help us celebrate bees by following a few simple steps:

🐝Don’t use pesticides & herbicides in the garden

🐝Plant lots of colourful flowers

🐝Support local beekeepers by purchasing their honey

🐝Create bee baths by filling bird baths or a shallow dish with clean water and stones, pebbles or sticks that sit just out of the water so the bees have a landing spot to drink

🐝Educate yourself and others on the importance of a honeybee!!
