Starting my day with an easy morning routine has made a world of difference in managing my PCOS journey. It's all about keeping my glucose and cortisol levels in check, which are major culprits in this condition. So, let me share the morning routine I personally use to set myself up for a great day ahead:💪

1️⃣ Support Your Sleep Cycles:
Morning sunlight regulates your sleep-wake cycle. Cortisol, a stress hormone, peaks in the morning but disrupts sleep if high at night. Sunlight triggers serotonin for well-being. Your body uses light to distinguish day and night. Embrace morning light for a natural wake-up routine.☀️💡

2️⃣ Grounding and Aligning your Energy:
Spend 10 mins meditating to be present. Visualise a positive day and your life's direction. Note five things you're grateful for to feel truly grateful and to become a magnet for Positivity for the day. Positivity attracts positive experiences. Listen to an uplifting podcast for 30 mins for inspiration and motivation. The brain will focus on the past if we don't keep learning - it's a record of the past so keep learning to keep those negative thoughts at bay 🧘‍♀️📝🎧

3️⃣ Balancing Blood Sugar:
Begin with a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for blood sugar regulation. Eat breakfast in this order: fiber, protein, healthy fats, and save carbs for last to avoid glucose spikes. This maintains stable blood sugar levels and keeps you energized! (more about this soon) 💧🍎🍳🥑

4️⃣ Essential Supplements:
Take supplements tailored to support your specific needs. They can fill nutritional gaps and offer extra care during your PCOS journey.💕

5️⃣ Brisk 20 minute walk:
Taking a 10- or 20-minute walk after you eat can also minimise a glucose spike (more on this soon). It can improve insulin sensitivity, making it easier for your cells to absorb glucose from the bloodstream.

Remember, this routine might not be perfect for everyone, but it's been a game-changer for me. Feel free to adapt it to suit your needs and preferences.

Ladies, I understand the struggles of losing weight with PCOS, and it's okay to feel frustrated and confused. I've been there too, thinking I was doing everything right, only to keep storing weight. I want you to know that you're not alone. To truly succeed, we must learn about hormones, toxins, cortisol, the liver's role, and the impact of glucose and insulin.
💡 Here are my top 5 tips that transformed my weight loss journey, and I hope they help you too:
1️⃣ Master the Food Order: Eating in the right order can be a game-changer! Focus on eating fibre, first protein, then carbs to control those glucose spikes and avoid fat storage.

2️⃣ Embrace Low GI Foods: Nourish your body with low GI foods, coupled with high protein and fibre. It can make a real difference in managing your blood sugar levels.

3️⃣ Your Type Matters: We are all unique. Don't be afraid to explore blood type diets and find what works best for you. You deserve a personalized approach. 🌟

4️⃣ Detox for Balance: Our environment bombards us with toxins. Consider detoxifying your body, helping it bid farewell to extra estrogen and cortisol. I found lemon water, epsom salt baths, and drinking activated charcoal beneficial to rid all of this.

5️⃣ Tame Cortisol: Stress can wreak havoc on our bodies and we do live in stressful times and lead lives that can be full of stress. We need to lower our cortisol levels daily to remind us we are safe. Focus on deep breathing (5 deep breathes in, hold for 5, then let out for 5), grounding practices, and meditation to help reduce cortisol's impact on weight gain. 🧘‍♀️

I am rooting for your success. It's not an easy journey, but you've got this. Let me know in the comments if you have been practicing any of this or new things you may have learned? Mel x

Welcome to the empowering world of women with Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS), where we embark on a transformative health journey, one step at a time! 💪🏽

At the heart of my mission lies the determination to empower women with PCOS, offering them the tools, knowledge, & support needed to conquer this condition - because you can heal. We all can.

In 2013, I faced the challenges of PCOS and received discouraging news from medical professionals—I was told I couldn't have children and would always struggle with symptoms like weight issues, acne, and hormonal imbalances. They suggested drugs to manage insulin and hormones, but deep down, I knew there had to be a better way as the body is truly amazing and it can heal. So, I embarked on a personal journey to find answers.

Within just six months, I defied the odds and reversed all the symptoms. Doctors were puzzled. This transformative experience ignited a passion in me, and I vowed to spare other women from enduring what I had gone through. That's why I started this movement—to empower and uplift others facing PCOS, providing them with hope, knowledge, and support. Together, we can navigate this path and create a brighter future.

The core of my approach will lie with empowering you with vital knowledge about insulin and glucose spikes, hormones, cortisol, detoxification, and a deeper understanding of your body's functions. Understanding insulin resistance, which is a key player in PCOS (as PCOS is said to be "diabetes of the endocrine system). Together, we'll address glucose spikes effectively.

In this shared journey, we are more than just a community; we are a sisterhood💗.

Together, we break down barriers, challenge societal norms, and redefine success.

As , and advocate for and , I will inspire and uplift women such as you, with PCOS across the globe to join my mission of health empowerment. ⭐️

Can I still get pregnant after being diagnosed with PCOS?

Now, this may seem a silly question but back in 2013 ago I was told having kids was highly unlikely, this then became an important question for me.

I understand that it may be scary for most women to get diagnosed of having PCOS especially not knowing if you can have children in the future. However there seems to be a lot of myths and misconceptions when it comes to PCOS.

I have had many clients also telling me that their doctor has told them they will never have children because of their PCOS. And this is untrue. The fact is, a diagnosis of PCOS does NOT mean that you will never have children.

PCOS does greatly affect fertility due to irregular menstrual cycles. Us women with PCOS normally don't ovulate regularly, thus conceiving and getting pregnant can be twice difficult than for others without it.

However I found a study that was done in 2009 which covered 91 women with PCOS. These women were monitored for 8 years and when the final phase has concluded, all of the subjects were over 35.

Out of 91 women studied with PCOS, 86.7% had at least 1 child and 73.6% conceived without fertility intervention! Furthermore, they had a higher ovarian reserve. This means that these ladies in this study, were able to get pregnant at an older age as compared with others without PCOS.

So why am I sharing this?

Because I want to bring you hope! The struggle may be more challenging than someone without PCOS but it is possible - you can fall pregnant! Please never give up hope, or stop trying, or listen to you doctor and believe them. Women have fallen pregnant naturally with PCOS, with implementing positive lifestyle changes and if you are truly wanting to change it all around.. you can do it too.

Are you still worrying if you can get pregnant? Let

Aloe vera was my go to when my skin was at it's worse! It is very available in majority of skin care products today such as moisturizers, sunscreens, soaps and many others due to its outstanding effects in it's fight against acne and it also helps to diminish the scars too (which I suffered from badly)

Aloe vera gel is known to be a natural anti-bacterial substance which can be directly applied to the skin and it does its magic by killing acne-causing bacteria reducing the redness in acnes. It also contains a significant dose of magnesium lactate which is an itch-reducer, sunburn treatment and also rash remedy.

For any acne fighters, it can be a heaven sent as it can pull dirt and other impurities out of the skin, thus helping avoid any further breakouts. Another interesting characteristic of aloe is its ability to lighten the skin and makes smaller scars and acne blemishes appear to vanish - making it one of the best topical solutions to fighting acne.

My suggestion is to apply it morning and night, by using your fingers and see for yourself how it works wonders. Hope this helps someone out there suffering with acne! I can't praise it enough x
