Safe to say Daryl was on the edge of his seat at the footy 💜

Thanks to Life's Possibilities, Daryl recently headed along to watch the Fremantle Dockers in action, and what a game he picked.

Having his care worker Daniel there too, who he sees more as a mate, made the night even better.

With nail biting scores, the tension had Daryl jumping up and down from his seat as the clock ticked away. It was a close call right up until the final moments when the Dockers secured the win, with Daryl absolutely buzzing.

To top it off, dinner was also on the house, so Daryl tucked into his favourite – pizza and chips.

And the next day, he could talk about little else.

As Daryl would tell you, it was the complete package.

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, Brightwater residents proudly joined more than 41,000 voices from across Australia in Reconciliation Australia's Voices for Reconciliation initiative, singing Midnight Oil's iconic song Beds Are Burning.

We're proud to see our residents featured in this powerful national project, reflecting this year's National Reconciliation Week theme, All In.

A big thank you to our music therapists and dedicated staff who supported residents to take part in this meaningful initiative.

What we create together becomes part of our story 💙

As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a week filled with gratitude, connection and creativity across Brightwater communities.

The mosaic tables have become a beautiful centrepiece to celebrate Brightwater’s 125 years and the power of community, created as part of our Mosaic of Connection project.

Volunteers, thank you for the joy you bring to Brightwater every single day.

Lastly, thanks to Lotterywest , Volunteering WA and WA MosaicArt for supporting this project.

National Volunteer Week celebrations are continuing across Brightwater ✨

Volunteers, residents and staff came together to create café-style mosaic tables. Each person adds their own tile, reflecting the stories, creativity and connections within each community.

Big thanks to Farida, Ravil and Amalia from WA MosaicArt for helping bring the project to life in a way that everyone can participate in and enjoy, alongside the support of Lotterywest and Volunteering WA .

A week on and we’re still feeling very grateful for our incredible nurses.

There were celebrations, sweet treats and even a few emergency nurse survival kits and other goodies to take home.

It was a lovely way to celebrate the incredible nurses who bring so much care, compassion and calm to Brightwater every day.

📸 Check out a few special moments from last week.

Tea, treats and special moments together 💐

Residents at Oxford Gardens enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day high tea, filled with sweets, conversation and good company.

A simple but special way to celebrate the mums, grandmothers and mother figures who mean so much to so many 💛

Today, we’d like to say a big thank you to our nurses 💙

Thank you for the care you give, the calm you bring and the way you show up for people on both the good days and the hard ones.

Whether it’s a quiet reassuring moment, a helping hand or simply being there when someone needs it most, the difference you make never goes unnoticed.

Happy International Nurses Day to our incredible Brightwater nurses.
