Those that know me well know that I’ve always struggled to post personal stuff about myself, and this is probably as personal as it gets. Yet I figured I needed to let everyone in on my little secret.

Welcome to the world my son, Henry James, born on the 9th March, 2026.

I was a bit disconnected from everything during pregnancy and it wasn’t even a few years ago I didn’t know if would ever even have a child. I never felt a maternal instinct and I thought it would mean sacrificing my career, which I’ve worked so hard for over the past decade. Back and forth with apprenticeships, different studios, disappointments, and now a new studio venture; I didn’t want to throw it all away.

Although I’ve been in a little cocoon for the last couple of weeks (and probably will be for another few months) I don’t see that being the case at all, and I think becoming a parent has ignited my drive and passion even more. The last couple of weeks have been like something from a dream.

You can be as organised as possible, but I was no where near prepared for the wild ride that is giving birth. It was honestly the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, but also the best thing.

I may be a little quiet for a bit while I adjust to my new life, but please feel free to DM or email me your ideas for when I come back in the later half of the year. I’ll keep you all updated via Instagram and hopefully post some of my old favourites and tattoos I’ve never shared.

I’m so excited to come back to tattooing and spend some slow days in the studio with my little bean 💚
