✨A lot of people get confused on the difference between plant/carrier oils and essential oils and there uses. Thought I’d do up a bit of an info sheet 😊

There are only a few EO’s I use these days and use them minimally. What we once had was the collection of plants/herbs/flowers on small scale herbal traditions to now being a huge industrial manufacturing process. More land gets cleared and natural habitats get lost. Be mindful where you purchase your oils from..there are some great Australian companies doing the right thing 🍃

✨ Monday Mug Series✨ - I do hope you all had a safe weekend with that wild weather 🌨️ we had...holy moly!

I’ve always had a fascination with Alice… the curiosity, the chaos, the magic of stepping into the unknown and child hood memories of Mum reading the book to us at bedtime. I’m forever tumbling down little rabbit holes with different ideas, herbal creations, late night thoughts that hopefully would turn into something.

I don’t even remember where this mug came from but I’m sure it found me rather than the other way around. It’s seen a lot of moments..quiet mornings, wandering thoughts and the kind of daydreaming that turns into something real.

A little reminder that it’s okay to be curious, to explore and to follow the strange paths sometimes 🌿🐇
After all..that’s usually where the magic is 😊

✨ Monday Mug Series✨
🍄🌙 On a gloriously sunshiny day a few months ago, I hit the road to collect my sister for what we very officially call a “sister day out”.

Whenever we head out toward Toodyay there is one non-negotiable stop....the Highland cows. Honestly, if they knew how often we pull over just to stare at them, they’d probably start charging appearance fees. My goodness they are magical beasts and how cute and cuddly are the babies??!!

After a little wander through the local shops and the usual amount of sisterly nonsense and laughter over absolutely nothing, we settled in for lunch at the local pub. It truly doesn’t take much for us to entertain ourselves.

We had one last shop to visit and that's when I spotted this mug at . I do love the cosy feeling of a huggie style mug and add in the mushrooms, little floofs and moons, it never stood a chance on staying on the shelf. Lucky for me I had a gift voucher from a wonderfully naughty friend who enabled my mug collecting habits… so home it came.

This morning I spent a little extra time with my coffee and candle, sending some extra love, good vibes and blessings out to a dear friend who could really use them right now. 💛

✨Monday Mug Memories✨

I didn’t get to slowly slide into Monday morning with my coffee and candle this morning. After pressing the snooze button about half a dozen times, it was more like “find the biggest travel mug, make enough coffee for about 4 hours and pack your bags” Seriously I’ve had 4 days to pack but left it all until this morning 🫣 I’m on my yearly (was twice a year but time just got away from me) pilgrimage down south to reset, chill and just be with nature 🍃. Do you see my outdoor shower?? 🫢 my favourite thing in this forest! Glad it’s so secluded😂

So this huge travel mug (love me some Female Disney Villains 😁) I purchased from a local vendor at an Agricultural Show in the Wheatbelt town of Corrigin a few years back. We attended this event yearly for sometime with lots of different friends. Part of
the show was a car/bike display organised by an amazing friend of ours who lives in the town. We are a big part of the drag racing scene so we would all haul our drag cars, drag bikes and dragsters to the show to be part of the display and support the locals. I have my 29 Ford Roadster and hubby had his drag bike and we packed them into our truck which was also our accommodation most of the time. We made so amazing memories with this event and its people over the years. These country towns are really doing it tough these days so next time you have a free weekend, head to one of them and support there locals 😊

Yes I did do the Monday Mug Memories (see below) yesterday but only on Instagram 😬 Didn’t want to do 2 posts on here in the one day as it becomes annoying 😂. I’m still trying to navigate the endless changes to social media algorithms so I can be seen. So you may find me posting at very odd times to see if I end up in peoples feeds 🥴 I am no longer in any shops so trying to do my little business on my own 🤞😁🍃

✨Monday Mug Memories✨

🐻This week’s mug has my whole heart… a beautiful bear from Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is my kind of magic. The quiet, the wildlife, the fresh air, the just sitting drinking coffee outside our RV and the excitement of what amazing animals we will see next. 🫎🦅🦬🐾

We had to postpone this particular trip when I was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian and uterine cancer a short while before we were due to leave Australia. In a time of uncertainty if treatment would work, if I'd even survive...I kept my hopes & dreams of this place alive during surgery, chemo, radiation and healing and was finally able to travel with my amazing husband and lovely friends.

I’ve been lucky enough to have visited a couple of times now and every trip leaves me feeling peaceful, grateful and to remember to never forget my dreams.

Sipping from this mug feels like a tiny portal back to that peaceful place where the world slows down and the bears roam free 🐾

☕️ Mug Message of the Week
“Go where you feel most alive — even if it’s just in the quiet moments you create for yourself.”

Where’s your “soul place”? 🌿

✨Monday Mug Memories✨ - Turning the Monday morning blues into something more enjoyable by sharing a love for quirky/unique mugs and the potion of life...coffee. A different mug with its own story every Monday. Each cup has its own tale just waiting to be told.

🩵 Today’s mug is a special one to start with. The Red Tail Cockatoo… the second I saw it memories of my late father came rushing back. I was straight back in my childhood. Many many years ago Dad used to run a special breeding program for Red Tail Cockatoos for the Perth Zoo from home. Growing up around these birds was honestly kind of magical. I remember poor Mum having to hand feed a lot of babies over the years plus having to deal with 4 small kids when Dad was called away up north for work. These birds were loud, cheeky, little chaotic and absolutely unforgettable.

So this mug (that I happened to find on our local fb group, brand new and still in its box) isn’t just a mug. It’s one of those pieces that carries a whole pocket of memories.. cuddles, early mornings, feathers, noise and being surrounded by some of the most incredible creatures.

Today it’s holding my coffee, but also a quiet little moment of thoughts of my Dad 🩵

☕ Mug Message of the Week
The things that feel ordinary at the time often turn out to be the most special.

Does anything you use every day hold a memory like that?

“See you next Monday with another mug 🤍”.

Ooops! Sorry for the fire cider spam…the video that was posted on here yesterday came from my Instagram & was supposed to be a “stories” but somehow ended up on fb feed 🫢 which is pointless as it gives no information whatsoever on how it’s made 🥴

Anyhoo…here is how it’s done..pretty simple!
Orange, lemon, onion, chilli, black peppercorns, ginger, rosemary, cinnamon & garlic (cut in half & let it sit for 10 mins, this releases the allicin which is the magic part of garlic that has the most health benefits) turmeric powder and apple cider vinegar with the mother. The only thing I usually add but couldn’t find is fresh horseradish and fresh turmeric. Chop/slice everything & pop it into a jar and top with the vinegar. Use parchment paper if using metal lids as it will rust. Leave in a dark place for 4 weeks, shaking occasionally. Once ready, strain/squeeze off the liquid and have a shot glass/day. The ingredients left over can be used in soups, stews etc or dried and used as seasoning. Nothing goes to waste 🙂
