A busy Tuesday for Reid. At work by 7.30am, first client at 8am followed by school, home and community sessions, home for lunch and coffee, quick errand for dog food and back to the office for another 2 sessions.

A crazy busy day of 6 clients, but always a lot of fun. Working on so many different goals, with some kids who I've known for 8 years. Watching them grow into teenagers, and using t skills we worked on forever ago, brings a smile to my face every day of the week.

Meet Reid 😎

Reid graduated from Curtin University in 2013 with a Master of Occupational Therapy.

Prior to this he completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science (2008) and a Post-graduate Diploma of Exercise Science (2009) where he became a qualified and accredited exercise physiologist. Since graduating as an occupational therapist, Reid has maintained his roles in the paediatric field. His roles have included a private practice, focusing on sensory integration, gross and fine motor development. He then moved into a role as a live-in professional therapeutic carer, looking after 3 young boys full-time, providing therapeutic care and managing challenging behaviours and past trauma, preparing them for foster care. It was after this role, that Reid went into community-based therapy, and worked for larger organisations focusing on therapeutic support and consultation for children on the autism spectrum and their families. In his spare time, Reid loves getting outside.

He has 2 dogs (Lewis and Pippa), and loves just hanging out in the garden or at the park with the dogs. Reid strives to always engage his clients in therapy, and is often seen climbing on the equipment, completing the monkey bars and being challenged by the kids to keep up, and complete some interesting activities.

Meet Harpreet 🧡

Harpreet recently completed her Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University, after finishing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2022. During her studies, she discovered a passion for working with children, especially through play-based and child-led approaches that celebrate each child’s strengths and support their everyday participation at home, school, and in the community.

While studying, Harpreet worked as an independent support worker, where she supported children with a range of needs in their daily routines and therapy goals. This hands-on experience helped her understand the importance of working closely with families and creating safe, supportive environments where children feel confident and empowered to be themselves. Harpreet is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with the children and families she works with. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that’s tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests.

Outside of work, Harpreet enjoys reading, trying out new cafes, exploring new places, and spending time with her family and friends.

Meet Gus 🤙🏼

Gus is an Occupational Therapist graduated with Honours from Curtin University in 2025. He has been part of the RCOT team since 2024, previously working as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, where he delivered structured therapy sessions alongside senior clinicians.

Gus is passionate about supporting children and their families through a family-centred, child-led approach. He works collaboratively with families to build skills in gross and fine motor development, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, with a focus on supporting children’s participation in everyday activities at home, school, and in the community.

Gus has experience working with children with autism, PDA, ADHD, and anxiety, and values creating therapy sessions that are engaging, strengths-based, and meaningful for each child.

Outside of work, Gus enjoys surfing, playing video games, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Seeing an OT weekly or fortnightly is a great start, but the real progress happens in between. Supporting your child to practise at home helps build confidence, reinforce skills and keep that momentum going.

Meet Lachy 🤘🏼

Lachy completed his Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with honours 2019. A senior occupational therapist with six years of clinical experience in paediatrics, working with children and adolescents aged 5–16.

His areas of focus include sensory processing, motor skills, play and social skill development, supporting children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and Tourette’s. Undertaking further training in sensory processing, disability-informed sexual health, trauma, and PDA-informed practice, which informs his holistic, child-centred approach.

Lachy believes that therapy is most effective when it is strengths-based, child-led, and grounded in relational safety. I work closely with families to ensure they are an integral part of the therapeutic process, supporting children in real-world settings such as clinics, schools, homes, and the wider community. His approach emphasises co-regulation, felt safety, and connection, recognising that the therapist’s presence, energy, and responsiveness are often therapeutic in themselves.

Lachy is passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence, and the skills to engage meaningfully with the world around them. He brings warmth, creativity, and playfulness to every session, tailoring activities to each child’s interests and needs.

Outside of work, Lachy is a keen runner, avid sports lover, and proud rescue greyhound dad.

Meet Zoe 🫶🏽

Zoe completed a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) at Curtin University and graduated with Honours in 2024.

Zoe has focused her efforts on working within the area of paediatrics. She thoroughly enjoys working alongside children, adolescents and their families to support executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional regulation. Zoe has experience supporting children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, PDA, anxiety and depression. Zoe has acquired these skills through her role as a support worker at Inside Out Occupational Therapy while completing her studies. Zoe is passionate about neuro-affirming practice and helping children and their families achieve their goals, and build capacity and confidence to participate in activities that are important to them.

When Zoe is not working, she enjoys travelling, swimming at the beach and spending time with her family and friends
