Meet Nikki — My Journey with WASP Hair Australia
Hi, I’m Nikki from WASP Hair Australia. I’d love to share a little about the journey that has shaped who I am today.
Born in China, I spent part of my late twenties living in Stockholm before studying hospitality management in Switzerland. My time in Europe broadened my perspective and shaped how I see people, businesses and different cultures.
My career has taken me from property development in China and international hospitality with Hilton to the Western Australian w**e industry after moving to Perth. Along the way, I built experience across brand and business development, sales, distribution, customer relationships, import and export, and international trade.
In mid-2021, I began my journey with WASP Hair Australia, expanding further into international sourcing and custom product development. I have since worked closely with manufacturers across global markets to source, develop, and customise products for both our business and specific customer needs.
These experiences taught me how product, quality, supply, brand, market, and customer experience all connect.
The past few years have brought change, challenges, and valuable lessons. One belief has only grown stronger:
Growth comes from having the courage to embrace change, take responsibility, and keep learning.
Long-time customers often remind me how much they value our products and how many years they have trusted WASP Hair. Those moments reinforce something important:
Trust carries responsibility — and that trust deserves to be honoured.
That is why I want to continue building WASP Hair with sincerity, care, and purpose — creating products we can stand behind, providing service our customers can rely on, and continuing to earn that trust.
After more than two decades in the Australian hair industry, WASP Hair is entering a new chapter — carrying forward what we have learned with greater clarity, purpose,and commitment.
We will keep learning, keep improving ,and keep moving forward — with heart, integrity, and purpose.
