Teen Hormonal Health
Last weekend, our Naturopathic Team attended the Women’s Health Expert Forum: Menarche to Menopause.
One of the key topics was adolescent health, including the importance of recognising the menstrual cycle as a vital indicator of health during these formative years.
Tracking cycle length, bleeding, period pain and mood can help identify patterns and provide valuable insights into a young woman’s hormonal and overall wellbeing.
Mood changes can also emerge around puberty. When symptoms consistently worsen during the 1 – 2 weeks before a period, a hormonal contribution may be worth exploring.
Nutrition, sleep, regular movement and adequate intake of essential nutrients provide important foundations for energy, mood and stress resilience.
At Subiaco Naturopathic Clinic, we take the time to look at the bigger picture, including menstrual patterns, diet and lifestyle to support adolescents through this important stage of development.
