Occupational Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. ✨

Every program is individualised to support what matters most — daily function, independence, and quality of life.

Our approach focuses on:
✔ Emotional regulation and behaviour support
✔ Sensory processing and sensory integration
✔ Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) – self-care, routines, independence
✔ Cognitive and executive functioning skills
✔ Social participation and community engagement
✔ Functional capacity and goal-based outcomes

We meet each person at their current level and build step by step — from regulation → engagement → independence.

Because effective therapy is not about doing more…
it’s about doing what works for the individual.

✨ Evidence-based. Goal-focused. Functional outcomes.

Meltdown ➝ Calm
Withdrawal ➝ Connection
Avoidance ➝ Engagement

This is what consistent Occupational Therapy can do.

One year ago, the community was overwhelming.
Noise, people, expectations… everything led to shutdown or meltdown.

So we didn’t rush.
We didn’t force.
We trained the brain. 🧠

Session by session we built:
Regulation.
Tolerance.
Confidence.

Slowly… the nervous system learned: you are safe here.

And today?
✨ She goes out into the community
✨ She engages without meltdowns
✨ She connects without shutting down

This is not luck.
This is consistent, targeted therapy + the right supports.

NDIS isn’t just about support —
It’s about building capacity for life.

If your participant is stuck in cycles of meltdown or withdrawal…
There IS a way forward.

💬 DM “REGULATION” to start

22/04/2026

✨Not every therapy session needs to be structured.🤍

Today, my client came in feeling highly dysregulated and unsettled. In those moments, pushing through a plan doesn’t create progress — it creates overwhelm.

So we paused. ✋
We slowed it down. 🟢
We focused on creating a sense of safety first. ♥️

Because regulation always comes before engagement. ✨

As therapists, our role is not just to “deliver sessions” — it’s to read the nervous system, adapt in the moment, and meet the person where they are.

Sometimes the most powerful intervention is:
✨ reducing demands
✨ allowing space
✨ and giving the brain time to reset

This is what real, client-centred therapy looks like.

If your child (or yourself) struggles with emotional regulation, shutdowns, or overwhelm — support needs to feel safe before it can be effective.

As NDIS providers — Have you seen where most behaviour support goes wrong.

It’s not the behaviour.
👉 It’s the lack of understanding, strategy, and consistency.

Support workers are often expected to manage complex behaviours…
❌ without the right training
❌ without real-life strategies
❌ without confidence in high-risk situations

And that’s where escalation happens.

In this training, we focus on what actually works:

✔ Understanding triggers (before behaviour)
✔ Proactive strategies (not reactive responses)
✔ De-escalation skills in real scenarios
✔ Consistent implementation across teams

This is practical, clinical, and immediately applicable.

When your team is trained properly:
✔ Incidents reduce
✔ Staff feel confident
✔ Participants feel safer
✔ Outcomes improve

Autism Therapy That Works 🧠💪 | NDIS OT Perth

If your child experiences meltdowns, sensory overload, or difficulty coping in daily environments — this is where we start.

At our clinic, we don’t jump straight into demands.
We begin with Functional Neurology & brain-based interventions to help regulate the nervous system first.

Why?
Because a regulated brain = better learning, behaviour, and participation.

🔹 We start with:
✔️ Nervous system regulation (brain-based / functional neurology approach)
✔️ Sensory integration & calming strategies
✔️ Proprioceptive input to support body awareness

🔹 Then we progress using graded exposure:
➡️ Begin in a safe, controlled environment (clinic or home)
➡️ Gradually move into community settings
➡️ Increase complexity to build true functional capacity

In this session, we are targeting:
✨ Sensory regulation (tolerating noise, movement, busy spaces)
✨ Emotional regulation (reducing overwhelm & meltdowns)
✨ Proprioception (calm, focus, body control)
✨ Coordination & motor planning (improving movement efficiency and confidence)
✨ Strength & postural control (supporting stability, endurance, and function)
✨ Functional capacity (daily life + community participation)

NDIS Outcome Focus:
✔️ Increased independence
✔️ Improved community access
✔️ Reduced reliance on supports
✔️ Development of transferable, real-life skills

This is Autism-focused, neuroaffirming NDIS OT — building from
🧠 Regulation → 🏡 Safe environments → 🌍 Real-world participation
