We’re trialling the device — not the child

When we start a device trial at Little Stars, one of the first things we do is set goals — together with the Little Star and their people.

Not “let’s see how it goes.” Real, functional goals that matter in their everyday life. The things they want to be able to say and do.

This tag lives on the device so everyone supporting them — family, educators, therapists — is working towards the same thing. And at the end of the trial, we can genuinely answer the question: is this the right fit?

Goals turn a trial into an answer — for each Little Star. 🌟

Applications for Motor Mouth Camp close Monday 13 July.

Motor Mouth Camp brings children who use augmentative and alternative communication, or AAC, together with their families for three days of connection, confidence-building and fun.

Kids work alongside speech pathologists and occupational therapists to strengthen their AAC skills, take part in activities and connect with other families who understand the journey.

Applications are open now, but not for long.

Apply before Monday 13 July.
