On 28th August, the 777 Pharmacy team was proud to attend the Women and Infants Research Conference in Perth as a major sponsor of this important event.

Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals, researchers and members of the community, while sharing information about the many ways pharmacists can support women's health at every stage of life. Our team was also onsite at the 777 Pharmacy exhibition stand, helping raise awareness of accessible women's health services available through our pharmacies.

Women's health is about more than treating illness. It's about prevention, education, early intervention and empowering women to take charge of their wellbeing. From contraception consultations and urinary tract infection treatment to health checks and everyday healthcare advice, pharmacists play an important role in supporting better health outcomes for women across Western Australia.

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we pause to remember those who have lost their lives to overdose, acknowledge the grief experienced by families, friends and communities, and stand in support of those impacted by substance use and addiction. 💜

As healthcare professionals, we know that overdose can affect anyone, regardless of age, background or circumstance. Through education, awareness, compassion and access to support services, we can help reduce stigma and encourage important conversations that save lives.

At Pharmacy 777, we are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities through accessible healthcare, trusted advice and meaningful advocacy. We believe that creating safe spaces for people to seek help, ask questions and access support is an important part of improving health outcomes for all Australians.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Sara Murdock Pharmacy 777 Pascoe Vale for representing Pharmacy 777 at the 25th Anniversary International Overdose Awareness Day Commemorative Forum, hosted by Penington Institute, SHARC (Self Help Addiction Resource Centre) and Family Drug and Gambling Help. Events such as these play a vital role in fostering understanding, sharing lived experiences and driving positive change in the way we approach overdose prevention and addiction support.
