Christmas came a little early at Wanneroo Community Nursing Home as our residents gathered to celebrate Christmas in July.

The dining room was filled with festive cheer, delicious food, laughter and wonderful company as everyone enjoyed a special Christmas lunch together. It was a lovely opportunity to share stories, celebrate friendships and embrace the joy of the season, proving that Christmas magic can be enjoyed any time of the year.

A big thank you to our amazing team for creating such a warm and memorable celebration for our residents.

Fresh air, friendly faces and a chance to explore our local community made for a fantastic day with Cycling Without Age.

Our residents loved heading out for a relaxing trishaw ride, enjoying the scenery and sharing conversations with our incredible volunteer pilots.

Experiences like these help keep our residents connected with the community while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Connection comes in many forms, and at Wanneroo Community Nursing Home there's always something happening to bring our residents together.

In June, our afternoon tea provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious treats, a warm cuppa and wonderful conversation with friends.

We also hosted our Men's Group and Ladies' Group, giving residents dedicated spaces to socialise, share stories, enjoy activities and build meaningful friendships. These regular gatherings are a valued part of life in our home and help create a strong sense of belonging for everyone.

Community, connection and giving back at Barridale Lodge

What a wonderful day we shared at Barridale Lodge as our residents welcomed local children for a special intergenerational cupcake baking activity in support of Telethon7 Perth

There were plenty of smiles as residents and children baked together, visitors enjoyed meeting the friendly animals at our animal farm, and our bake sale and goodie bags helped raise funds for an incredible cause.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and helped make the day such a success. Events like these remind us that meaningful connections can be made at any age, and that together we can make a real difference for WA children and families through Telethon.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

There was plenty of Irish spirit at Wanneroo Community Nursing Home as residents and staff came together to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

Dressed in shades of green, we enjoyed themed activities, delicious treats, music and lots of laughter throughout the day. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the celebrations and making more special memories together.
