I hear this so often in my clinic.

A woman finally reaches the point where she knows she needs help. She makes the appointment, explains how she’s been feeling and hopes someone will help her understand what’s going on.

And when the answer is simply antidepressants, it can leave her feeling even more disheartened.

This isn’t about saying antidepressants are wrong or that you shouldn’t take them. Sometimes they’re absolutely appropriate.

But sometimes you’re looking for someone to look a little deeper. To listen to the whole story. To consider the bigger picture.

Kinesiology offers a complementary approach that works with nervous system function and hormonal balance, while creating a safe and confidential space to feel heard and supported.

If you’ve been struggling to feel like yourself lately, you don’t have to keep pushing through.

Take the first step towards feeling more like yourself again. 🤍

All jokes aside… ☺️

I think most people understand that it usually takes more than one session of anything to see results and kinesiology is no different.

We use the onion analogy 🧅

Each kinesiology session is like removing another layer. You may very well feel an improvement after your first session (and most people usually do!), but there can be multiple layers and areas contributing to the same issue.

For this reason, we generally recommend 5–6 sessions when working on an issue.

For smaller or more straightforward issues, this may be less. For more chronic or complex issues, it can be more.

The idea isn’t to keep you coming indefinitely. It’s about sticking with the issue you came in with and working through the different layers and areas that may be contributing to it.

Because real change isn’t always about doing more in one session, sometimes it’s about giving each layer the attention it needs. 🤍

People don’t usually book their first Kinesiology session on a whim.

Usually, they’ve already spent months (or even years) looking for answers.

They’ve tried different approaches, searched for solutions, and done their best to keep pushing through… but something still doesn’t feel quite right.

If you recognised yourself in one or more of these slides, you don’t have to keep trying to figure it out alone.

I’d love to support you in exploring what your body might be trying to tell you.

Opening a new Google review is always a little nerve-racking.

You never quite know what you’re about to read, and I’m always so grateful when someone takes the time to share their experience.

One part of Nicola’s review really stayed with me:

“She released years of stored tension and worry from my body within a few sessions.”

Many of the people I see have already tried different approaches before finding kinesiology. Every journey is different, and there’s never a one-size-fits-all answer, but sometimes looking at the body from a different perspective can make all the difference.

If you’ve been wondering whether kinesiology could be the next step in your own health journey, I’d love to welcome you into my clinic.

People don’t usually book a kinesiology session on a whim.

Most have already tried other things.

They’ve done the appointments, the supplements, the Google searches, the podcasts, the self-help books… and they’re still looking for answers.

These are some of the most common reasons people walk through my clinic door.

If one (or more) of these resonated with you, perhaps it’s time to explore a different approach.

This image isn’t about “fixing” someone.

It’s about reminding us what can happen when the body is given the opportunity to let go of stress it has been holding onto.

When stress builds over weeks, months or even years, it can leave your nervous system stuck in survival mode.

Imagine waking up feeling:

🌿 Calmer
🌿 More present
🌿 More emotionally balanced
🌿 Better able to cope with life’s challenges

That’s why I love what I do.

Every kinesiology balance is tailored to the individual because no two nervous systems tell the same story. Together, we’ll explore what your body is holding onto and work towards restoring greater balance and regulation.

✨ I thought it was time to properly introduce myself, especially as there are quite a few new faces here.

So… hi! 👋 I’m Susan, the practitioner behind Susan Mullins Kinesiology.

I’m a wife, mum to two amazing boys, and dog mum to Freddy, our very cheeky sausage dog. 🐾 Originally from Melbourne, I’ve called beautiful Perth home for the past 13 years.

Before becoming a kinesiologist, I spent a decade working as a stewardess in the superyacht industry. It was an incredible chapter of my life, but the long hours and high stress eventually took a toll on my health.

After leaving the industry, I became pregnant with my first son. Looking back, that season of life marked the beginning of my own health journey.

I have a vivid memory of being a new mum, completely exhausted but unable to sleep. I remember telling myself to just push it down and get on with things, something I had probably been doing for years.

But eventually, your body has a way of getting your attention.

My first diagnosis was Hashimoto’s. Then came glandular fever, histamine intolerance, and what felt like an endless cycle of new symptoms.

No matter how proactive I was at addressing the latest issue, another one seemed to appear.

Then I discovered kinesiology.

For the first time, I stopped looking only at my symptoms and started looking at the bigger picture, the connection between stress, emotions and physical health.

After one of my early sessions, I woke up and realised something was different.

That familiar knot of anxiety in my stomach wasn’t there.

I couldn’t remember a time in my life when I hadn’t felt it. That constant feeling of dread that greeted me each morning had simply… gone.

That experience inspired me to study kinesiology for three years and become a practitioner myself, so I could support others on their own health journeys.

Today I support people of all ages, with a special interest in hormones, stress, burnout, nervous system regulation, and supporting parents, children and teens.

💫If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the “right” things but still don’t feel like yourself… I see you. I’ve been there too🤍.

Thank you for being here 🙏🏼.
