Leading Lights Early Intervention

Leading Lights Early Intervention A paediatric practice redefining how care is delivered to children and families.

Built on a transdisciplinary model, we bring highly trained professionals into one integrated, family-centred approach—reducing fragmentation and empowering families. If your child has needs across multiple disciplines, or you are tired of being on waitlists for certain therapies, then having a Key Worker is a great way to start the intervention required to support them in reaching their goals. As

a Key Worker, we become the main contact for your family and your child and collaborate with other therapists to ensure we are successfully implementing strategies and supports across all disciplines relevant to your child’s care. We will manage and organise for the right assessments and reports with the appropriate professionals, and assist you in being ready for NDIS plan reviews and other important meetings. We take pride in helping you to implement a number of supports including therapy informed strategies, emotional support, offering information and advice in a variety of settings including at home, schools, childcare, and other places your child attends. We might work with you over a number of years and forming a partnership is a key phrase in describing how we will become a strong team around your child. By identifying goals for your child and family, direct support and linking you with other professionals and the broader community can all be achieved. Having a Key Worker is a great way to ensure consistent productivity across your child’s entire early intervention case. The Director: Annabel Yagos: Director, Key Worker, Early Intervention Teacher (Bachelor Primary Education, Grad'Diploma in Early Childhood, Diploma in Community Services, Grad' Cert of Psychology and Master of Nuero-Science- current)

✨ Introducing the Integrative Developmental Specialist Model ✨

Something exciting is changing at Leading Lights Early Intervention

We are moving away from the traditional Key Worker title and introducing a model that more accurately reflects the expertise, qualifications and work of our team:

The Leading Lights Integrative Developmental Specialist Model.

Our Integrative Developmental Specialists, formerly known as Key Workers, are highly trained and qualified professionals who bring professional qualifications, post-graduate training and years of experience across areas such as child development, education, psychology, counselling, social work, play therapy, neuroscience and other developmental disciplines.

But this change is about much more than a new title.

Children don't develop in isolated areas. Communication, behaviour, sensory processing, emotional regulation, learning, relationships, nutrition, sleep and environment can all influence one another.

We don't believe their support should happen in isolation either.

💙 Your Integrative Developmental Specialist sees the bigger picture. They become the consistent connection for your child and family, working directly with you, collaborating with schools and therapists, and bringing recommendations together into practical strategies for everyday life.

When specialist expertise is needed, professionals such as Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Counsellors, Social Workers and Nutrition professionals can become part of the child's team.

As those needs change, the team may change.

But our clients and families come back to their Integrative Developmental Specialist. This is the heart of the Leading Lights model: one consistent professional who knows your child, knows your family, understands your goals and helps keep everyone connected. ✨

We've been quiet online.... but busier than ever in the clinic!

We are so excited to welcome Maggie, Sangay, Gabby, Celia, and Nesta and Amie! (Please note Amie was not available for this photo but we will make sure she doesn't hide for long!)

Between these beautiful ladies, we have a collection of skills including counselling, positive behaviour support, art therapy, occupational therapy, and education.

They are all doing an amazing job and have brought valuable expertise and information to our integrative developmental team of specialists.

If you know anyone whose child may benefit from our holistic model, please contact our clinic on 6190 1098
