💬 AAC Awareness Month 💬

October is AAC Awareness Month — a time to recognise and celebrate all the different ways people communicate. ❤️

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) can include communication boards, symbols, gestures, sign language, apps, speech-generating devices and many other tools that support people to express their needs, feelings, choices and ideas.

🗣️ Communication is a human right — and everyone deserves to have their voice heard.

AAC isn't about replacing someone's voice. It's about giving people more ways to communicate, connect and be understood.

This month, let's raise awareness, be patient, listen differently and remember that every form of communication matters. 🌟

A quick update on our hours 💜

Serenity Care Support Coordination will be closed for the Labour Day long weekend, 3–5 October. Melinda and Sharon will be working limited hours during the second week of the school holidays, with regular hours returning Monday 12 October.

October is ADHD Awareness Month 💜

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 36. That diagnosis helped me understand myself with more kindness, and it has shaped how I support others.

Sometimes learning about a child’s ADHD helps a parent recognise similar traits in themselves. If that sounds familiar, it’s never too late to seek answers and support.

Serenity Care Support is now offering NDIS transport services to help participants get where they need to go safely and reliably.

📍 Servicing: Picton • Tahmoor • Thirlmere • Bargo • Mittagong • Bowral • Moss Vale

Transport can assist with: • Medical and allied health appointments
• Community access and social activities
• Shopping and everyday errands
• Getting to and from programs and activities
• Other approved NDIS-related transport needs

🚙 Please note: Transport is currently provided by car only. We do not have van transport available at this time. The vehicle has generous boot space for mobility aids, shopping and personal belongings.
