Does Acupuncture Hurt?
It’s probably one of the first questions people ask when they’re considering acupuncture.
The short answer? Acupuncture needles are incredibly fine.
They are very different from the needles used for injections or blood tests, and most people are surprised by how little they actually feel.
You may notice a tiny prick as the needle is inserted, followed by sensations such as warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a gentle ache around the point.
And sometimes… you feel almost nothing at all.
Your practitioner will choose the points and technique according to your individual treatment and will always work within your comfort level.
For many people, the biggest hurdle isn't the treatment itself; it's simply taking that first step through the door. 🌿
Your first treatment might be very different from what you imagined. 🧡
