Transformation through sound medicine to integrate w

Over the next little while I'll be doing a series of the Acutonics Forks as I feel it's great to learn and get an understanding of what there is to a modality.

So here's a snapshot of the Acutonics forks, and as you might know the forks are tuned to the planets, cycles of the sun, earth and moon, as well as some asteroids.

Where to start? Make sense to me to start at the beginning 🕉️

The Ohm Forks — coming back to ground

The Ohm forks are probably the forks I reach for more than any others in an Acutonics session.

I use them because the Ohm is about grounding, settling and bringing things back into balance.

The frequency of Ohm is connected to the Earth’s journey around the Sun — that familiar 365-day cycle that is part of the rhythm we live within every day. In Acutonics, it’s considered a foundational frequency and is often combined with other planetary frequencies depending on what I’m working with.

There are different levels of Ohm that I can work with.

Ohm Unison (2 of the same frequency) is very grounding and centering. I use them at the start of a session and I might use during a session when someone is feeling unsettled, overwhelmed or simply needs that sense of coming back into their body.

The Ohm Octaves (2 different frequency fork one octive apart) take that grounding quality through different depths. I use these to finish the session to cement the energies in. The lower frequencies have a deeper, heavier feel and can be beautiful when someone feels like they’re carrying everything up in their head and needs to reconnect with the body. The Low Ohm Octave as being used to connect the upper and lower body and to bring energy back towards the core.

One of the things I really enjoy about Acutonics is, you’re not just listening with your ears to a tuning fork, your feeling and listening with your body.

I place the forks directly onto specific acupuncture points, so the vibration travels through the body while I’m also working with the traditional Chinese medicine understanding of that point.

Sometimes what’s needed isn’t more stimulation or more “doing”. Sometimes the starting and ending point is simply grounding, settling and coming back to yourself.

What better way to do that than with the Ohm Forks.

Stay tuned for the forks to come, it a journey.

🙏😊🕉️🌏

What an Acoustic Massage feels like!?

I can explain what happens during a session with Lomi Lomi bodywork, the gentle vibration and resonance of sound, creating space for the body to soften, the mind to quieten and the nervous system to settle…

But sometimes the best way to understand a therapy is to hear how it felt for someone who experienced. Here’s what one of my clients shared after their Acoustic Massage…

“I experienced beautiful lomi lomi massage and sounds therapy AKA Acoustic Massage with Francis in the Gympie Wellness Clinic the other day .
His presence was amazing, his treatment beyond the words . Left my body felt centred, relaxed and grounded .
His Healthy masculine vibes helped me to feel safe and comfortable during the treatment .
I reconnected to my body with ease .
I recommend his treatments to any woman or man. He has got a very professional approach. It Was a great experience to have on Friday afternoon, nice jump into the weekend for me.” IL

ACUTONICS — WHEN YOU’RE READY TO FEEL MORE LIKE YOURSELF

Life gets busy. We carry stress, responsibilities, changes, emotions and often keep going without really noticing how much our body is holding.

You might feel tired but struggle to switch off. You may wake up still feeling tired. Your mind is constantly busy, your body feels tense, or perhaps you simply feel a little disconnected from yourself.

Acutonics® offers a different way to slow things down.

I use precisely calibrated tuning forks placed directly on selected acupuncture points, combining therapeutic vibration with the meridian principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Rather than simply listening to sound, the vibration is experienced through the acupoints and into the body. I choose the points and tuning fork combinations according to what is happening for you and what you would like support with.

A session may help support deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, physical tension, better rest and a greater sense of balance and connection.

You don’t need to understand Acutonics or even be convinced that sound and vibration can make a difference.

Come with curiosity.

Give yourself the opportunity to slow down, experience it for yourself and notice how your body responds.

LOMI LOMI — THE BENEFITS GO BEYOND RELAXATION

As life can become incredibly full with work, family, relationships, responsibilities, that seemingly endless list of things that need your attention, and the changes in your body as you carry the load of all these things.

Sometimes you don’t realise how much you’ve been carrying until your body finally gets an opportunity to LET GO.

Lomi Lomi offers more than time away from everyday life. Its long, flowing and rhythmic movements work across the body, creating a continuous massage experience that can help you move out of that constant state of doing and into simply being.

What might you experience?

Less muscle and body tension
Flowing massage strokes help work through areas of tightness while encouraging the whole body to soften rather than concentrating only on one sore spot.

Deep relaxation
The rhythm and continuity of Lomi Lomi can create a wonderfully calming experience, particularly when your mind rarely seems to switch off.

A greater connection with your body
Instead of living predominantly in your thoughts, massage gives you an opportunity to notice your breath, your body and how you’re actually feeling.

Space from stress and overwhelm
Sometimes stepping away from everything for 60 or 90 minutes is exactly what you need to gain a little breathing room.

Better rest
That deeply relaxed feeling doesn’t necessarily disappear when you leave the massage table. Many people find a relaxing massage helps them settle more easily afterwards.

Time where you don’t have to look after anyone else
This may be one of the most important benefits.

For the duration of your treatment, you get to receive.

In my Lomi Lomi sessions, I can also gently incorporate elements of sound and vibration, using instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks to complement the bodywork and deepen the sensory experience.

You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted, overwhelmed or your body is demanding attention.

Sometimes looking after yourself simply means recognising:

“I could really use some time for me.”

ACUTONICS — MORE THAN JUST A SOUND EXPERIENCE

You may have heard the words sound therapy and wondered what it actually means — or whether it really does anything.

It’s a fair question AND it’s more than crystal singing bowls.

ACUTONICS isn’t about lying on a table listening to relaxing music and being told that a particular frequency is going to “heal” you.

It is a hands-on therapeutic system that combines precisely calibrated tuning forks with acupuncture points and the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Instead of needles, I place activated tuning forks directly onto selected acupoints. The vibration moves through the point and into the body, giving us another way of working with the same energetic pathways used within TCM.

And every session is different.

It’s a collaborative effort, we start by talking about what is happening for you — physically, emotionally and energetically — and what you would like some support with. From there I choose the acupuncture points, meridians and tuning-fork combinations that best suit the session.

People often come to me wanting support with things such as stress and nervous-system overload, emotional tension, physical tension, difficulty switching off, sleep, or simply feeling depleted and out of balance.

Acutonics isn’t something that you need to understand before you come.

And you certainly don’t have to arrive believing everything you’ve heard or read about sound and vibration.

Come with some curiosity.

Feel what it is actually like to have vibration applied through acupuncture points and notice how your own body responds.

For me, that experience is far more meaningful than trying to convince someone with a list of claims.

Acutonics — more than just a sound experience.

Over the years since leaving a career in IT, my focus has been to connecting people back to themselves. The connection happened through exercise when I was a PT, now it’s Acutonics - Sound Medicine, Group Sound Journeys as well as Lomi Lomi massage.

Sometimes your body doesn’t need you to push through but what it really needs is a connect back. It needs you to stop.
To soften.
To breathe.
And for a little while, to be the one being looked after.

LOMI LOMI — MORE THAN JUST A MASSAGE

Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian style of bodywork using long, flowing and rhythmic movements with the hands and forearms. Rather than simply working one tight muscle at a time, the continuous movement creates a deeply nurturing, whole-body experience.

For many, that’s what makes Lomi Lomi feel so different from a conventional massage.

It’s an opportunity to step away from the constant thinking, organising, caring and doing—and reconnect with your body and yourself.

And because sound and vibration are such an important part of my work, I may gently weave elements of sound therapy into your session.

The resonance of Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks or other therapeutic sound instruments can complement the flowing bodywork, adding another layer to the experience—not simply something you hear, but vibration you can feel through your body.

Your session may support:

* Deep relaxation and nervous-system settling
* Release of muscular and whole-body tension
* A quieter, less busy mind
* Greater body awareness and connection
* Rest and better sleep
* A sense of grounding and spaciousness
* And something many women simply don’t give themselves enough of — time for you

There doesn’t have to be anything “wrong” with you to receive bodywork.

Sometimes the reason is simply:

“I’ve been giving a lot lately. I need some time for me.”

If that feels familiar, I’d love to welcome you into my treatment space at Gympie Wellness Clinic.

I’m taking my ACUTONICS® practice as well as LOMI LOMI and ACOUSTIC MASSAGE to Gympie at the Gympie Wellness Clinic.

ACUTONICS® — WHAT IS IT?

You may have seen me talking about Acutonics and wondered…

What actually is it? And what does a session involve?

Acutonics is much more than listening to sound.

It brings together the ancient principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine — acupoints, meridians and the movement of energy through the body — with precisely tuned planetary tuning forks.

Instead of needles, I gently place tuning forks directly onto specific acupoints.

This means the sound isn’t only something you hear.

The vibration is experienced through your body.

You might notice warmth or tingling. You may feel the vibration travelling away from the point being worked on. Your breathing may change, muscles may begin to soften, or you may simply notice yourself dropping into a much quieter and more relaxed state.

And no two sessions need to be the same.

Before we begin, I take the time to understand what is happening for you — physically, mentally and emotionally.

From there, I choose the acupoints, meridians and combinations of tuning forks that best support the intention of your session.

That might be around stress, sleep, physical tension, pain, energy, emotional wellbeing or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.

But there is another part of the process that I believe is important.

You…
