Do you pre-bolus?

Diabetes educators Justin & Diana points out the insulin’s profile

Different insulins have different:

⏰Onset of action

⏰Peak time of action

⏰Duration of action

“When” you administer matters

Improve blood glucose & A1c just by adjusting the timing of your injection time against food

Isotonic vs Hypertonic saline — what’s the difference?

Not all saline works the same 👇

Isotonic (0.9%)
Matches your body's fluid concentration
Used for hydration

Hypertonic (Higher salt)
Pulls fluid out of cells
Used for mucus clearance + swelling

Always check before using

Different strengths = different effects

Isotonic vs Hypertonic Saline - What’s the difference?

Not all saline work the same 👇

Isotonic 0.9% matches your body and is used for hydration.

Hypertonic has more salt content and is used to pull fluid out of cells. Great for clearing mucous, decreasing swelling, and that annoying post nasal drip.

Always check before using

What happens when the social media girl is not around 😂

Many people are worried about side effects from vaccinations.

But the main side effect is usually just soreness around the injection site.

This is because the muscles at the injection site needed to move (and tear) slightly to accomodate the injected fluid.

This soreness is transient and usually goes away after about 3 to 5 days, as the muscle fibres repair themselves.

What about others who get low grade fever, body aches & pains?

Remember... The primary purpose of vaccinations is to stimulate a small immune response to the introduced vaccine, which looks like the virus. And these are the symptoms of a mild immune response!

This small immune response creates a defensive memory so that when you do come into contact with the real virus, your immune system can produce the necessary antibodies to destroy the virus before it has a chance to colonise.

So... are these really side effects? Or are they just confirmation that the vaccine is actually working?
