National Reconciliation Week is an important opportunity for all Australians to come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements. It’s also a time to reflect on how each of us can play a part in building a more respectful, inclusive and reconciled Australia.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is “All In” — a powerful call for all Australians to fully embrace reconciliation, not just during the week, but every day. 🤝🖤💛❤️

This week we celebrate Volunteer Week “Your Year to Volunteer”. Here at Moyne Health Services, we are lucky to have a dedicated group of Volunteers who are so generous with their time. Our Volunteers have a huge impact on our residents and community, from knitting and exercise groups, gardening, social outings, bus driving or having a coffee and chat just to name a few.

Some of our community programs wouldn’t be possible without their time and commitment so thank you to our wonderful volunteers for all that you do.

Today is International Nurses Day. A day to celebrate our wonderful nurses, past and present. We were fortunate to be able to celebrate with the Port Fairy Historical Society at the unveiling of a memorial recognising Port Fairy nurses who served their country in WWI. Descendants of some of the nurses unveiled the plaque before everyone enjoying morning tea. Thanks to Richard Patterson, Margaret Whitehead and all involved in making today an International Nurses Day to remember.

Moyne Health Services welcomed Dementia Training Australia to our service this week , delivering four workshops across two days to staff from across the organisation.
It was a great opportunity for our staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in Dementia Care.
