Kristian Lannu had the crowd’s attention, as he always does.

Listening to lived experience brings a level of understanding that statistics and reports simply can’t provide. When you hear the challenges, the triumphs, and the reality of life after service, you quickly understand where the passion comes from.

Kristian’s story is a powerful reminder of why advocacy, support, and genuine connection matter so much for our veteran community. Thank you for sharing your journey and continuing to inspire positive change for veterans and their families.

Today, the AVAC Services team participated in advocacy training, further strengthening our understanding of DVA legislation, policies, procedures, and best-practice advocacy.

We are proud of our team’s dedication to learning and their unwavering commitment to supporting veterans and their families every step of the way.

No-win, no-fee usually means 'predator beware'.
The level of qualified and honest help currently available for ex-service members is alarmingly low.

Whilst there are amazing volunteers available, nearly 80% of the workforce lacks high-level training, leaving thousands of complex claims involving multi-layered physical and mental trauma unintentionally mismanaged, missing critical appeal windows, or suffering from extreme administrative backlogs.

On the other end of the spectrum, there is a wild west of operators who are not held to account, with instances of veterans being charged up to 29% of their claim.... assuming their claim was even placed with their best interests in mind to begin with.

As a veteran-owned and operated service, we take pride in being accepted into the Institute of Veterans' Advocacy. This ensures that whoever you are dealing with falls in line with your best interests, backed by a transparent, capped service fee.

Veteran owned & operated, AVAC is a specialist DVA claims advocate service, providing expert and compassionate guidance through claims, reviews and appeals.

Rachelle was on hand as we were more than happy to sponsor the recent afternoon tea in celebration of Thank a First Responder Day, hosted by Fortem Australia.

This day is about taking time to recognise and thank those who are on the frontline when we need them most.

If you have come this far, we would suggest looking up what Fortem does to provide a specialised support service for first responders and their families. ❤️ AU

The kilometres marched
The tonnes carried
The trauma the body was put through

The DVA rejects between 10,000 and 15,000 medical claims every year. This is largely due to a disconnect between the doctor’s medical evidence and the actual cause.

Having a veteran-owned and run legal team in your corner can be the difference between getting what you are entitled to and being brushed aside as another case number.

Leave the legal jargon and red tape to us so you can get on with your life.

Just another amazing example of our Founder and Operator supporting the community ❤️

At Rockingham City FC, we're incredibly fortunate to have the support of local businesses that genuinely believe in the power of community sport and AVAC Services is a perfect example.

Founded by Rockingham local Kristian Lannu, AVAC Services proudly sponsors our club because they understand the important role grassroots football plays in bringing people together. Growing up in Rockingham as part of a Navy family, Kristian has seen firsthand the positive impact that sporting clubs can have on young people and families, particularly within a community so closely connected to HMAS Stirling and the Australian Defence Force.

For many children, football is far more than a game. It provides friendship, stability, support and a sense of belonging, especially during times when parents may be away on deployment or service commitments. Supporting Rockingham City FC is AVAC Services' way of giving back to the local community and helping create opportunities for future generations.

Kristian's support extends well beyond sponsorship too. Earlier this season he proudly pulled on the boots and represented AVAC Services in the Ceramico Cup, and throughout the year can often be found between the sticks for one of our social football teams.

From everyone at Rockingham City FC, thank you to Kristian and the entire AVAC Services team for your ongoing support of our club, our players and our community.

We look forward to continuing the journey together throughout the 2026 season and beyond.

You went through the process, and you were taken care of.
Now the other knee is going.
Sleeping is getting worse.
The medication has taken a toll on your body.
You didn't anticipate the carry-on effects, but you need to know where you stand with them.

Started by and still run by veterans, we handle the red tape. We ensure every ex-service member gets exactly what they are entitled to beyond the initial claim.
